Insights from Scrimmage Two, Part II – Facts Emerge

Some more news dropped yesterday about scrimmage number two, maybe clearing up some misconceptions or misreporting from yesterday’s post.

Insights provide:

  • Etienne and Brinson sat out. Brinson is nursing an injury and Etienne sat out because it’s viewed he’s a lock as RB1.
  • Center Jared Wilson saw action. Positive news.
  • Aguero looks to have won the CB competition, though another report says he’s won the Star position.
  • Quintavius Johnson could be the next in a line of under ranked recruits that will make an impact at Georgia.

Here’s another, featuring a TikTok of some sights and sounds from the scrimmage. Not about of intel, except that Puglisi was slinging the ball around, too.

Some bad news, though not the worst:

Xzavier McLeod appears to be out for game 1, at a minimum.

Other news I could find:

  • Mondon was back in with the LBs.
  • Ingram-Dawkins stood out. So did freshmen Jonah-Ajonye and Ogboko.
  • Cole Speer caught a 50 yarder.
  • Beck looked sharp against contested passes and completed a promising amount, including completions to Smith.
  • Rashada and Puglisi are getting work with the 3s. The Rashada family seems fine with this:
  • Speaking of transfers, Yurosek is getting work the with 3s.
  • Humphrey and Dan Jackson were working with the 1s, Bolden is getting in work with the 2s.

  1. That sucks about McCleod but sounds like it could be a lot worse. TID being healthy is great news.

  2. If Smith is going to have a big year, a lot of our opponents will need to wear their brown pants.

  3. Forgive the blog hijack but I wanted to circle back and confirm the Irish translations for the gtp refugees future reference and consideration so I spoke to my Irish cousin and have the translations straight from the mother country regarding “Hate Week”…

Hate Week = seachtain na fuatha (shock-tin na fu-a-ha)

Hate Week is here/It’s Hate Week = ta seachtain na fuatha ann (thaw shock-tin na fu-a-ha on)

Go Dawgs = Dawgs Abù (Dawwwgs a-boo)

  4. How do the DLmen (the ones that are healthy) look?

This position could be a problem.
