There were some lean years where we would play in Atlanta. I remember when I was about 10 years old of attending a UGA-Miss State (pretty sure they were the opponent) night game after GT played AU in the afternoon. Part of many reasons the great Joel Eaves was brought in as AD.
Again, the reason for this is the same reason we played Florida in Jacksonville, Auburn in Columbus, Bama played games in Birmingham, etc. – it was all about the infrastructure (mostly railroads)!

Texas is great against the run and they are selling out to stop it. What do we do? We insist on running and throwing sideways when we’ve had great success going downfield. Will we wait until its 17-14 to open the offense back up or will we come out firing? Will we continue to try and run the clock out and hope Texas keeps dropping balls and getting untimely penalties or will we move the ball downfield? Stay tuned…

The “continue to run” strategy is a plan for a 4 quarter game. By continuing to pound even if it does not move the chains on every possession wears the defense down for the 4th quarter. Last night proved it. We wore Texas’s defense out.

He was talking to shock on the sideline and there faces didn’t look promising. He won’t be playing next week for sure I don’t think.
Where has this aggression on defense been all year? This may be the first game where the D-line has routinely gotten off blocks and got after the QB. Edge rushers blowing past blocks. The sacks are nice, but if you can just make them uncomfortable, that’s a major win. Looks like some of the young pups have finally grown up.
Agent Muschamp was spotted in the end zone before the start of the game. Was he maybe in the booth giving the D coordinator some insight on how to run the Defense? I sure would like to see him back in any capacity where he could give advice to the UGA defense.
