Your game day post, back at home edition

Well, this, by all appearances is a do-or-die game for our beloved Dawgs. The college football industrial complex deep-state has organized and conspired against our canine warriors to push them out of the playoff tournament. Well, to that, we say hell naw! It ain’t over. Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell naw! And it ain’t over now!

It is pretty much a playoff elimination game tonight. How will these Dawgs respond? We will see.

  2. How are we 9.5 point favorites? I have to beleive Nico is not playing or is in worse shape than is being shared. I have a hard time seeing how we score 10 points. That’s why I am here and not on the sideline, Go Dawgs!!!

  3. Backs are against the wall. This is the kind of situation where Kirby thrives. If them boys can’t get focused and fired up for this game, there’s no hope for them.

  6. I will do my part. I will be there when the gates open, I will be loud the entire game(wearing my ear plugs) and I won’t leave early no matter what the score. I hope the rest of the fans do the same.

  8. The Dawgs CAN win this game. If they show up and play the way they did against Clemson and Texas they WILL win this game. If they show up and play the way they did against Ole Miss they may get embarrassed in our home stadium. But, if this game isn’t motivation enough to play their best game of the year, the team has bigger problems than any of us realized. Although beating Tech isn’t going to be easy, Tennessee is the key to getting into the playoffs. Go Dawgs!

  10. If Beck could place a ball like Lagway, we’d be dangerous. Even with our WRs only catching every other target. Pollack said Beck and Bobo are the only UGA qbs to ever throw 12 picks over 6 games. Hope they aren’t colluding to break the record tonight. And along come Dawgy Downer!

  16. Arian Smith STRIKES AGAIN!! 10.0 flat speed, but unfortunately 11.0 flat hands.

  17. Hope and prayer with no separation or WRs that can catch. Now we know tonight’s losing offensive strategy. Totally dominated on both sides in round 1. This is just a team with a talent gap. Not sure how it happened. But it happened and it’s real. Ready for this year to be over.

  19. Perfectly scripted for the vols. I’m done with hoping Smith will ever catch a deep ball.

    • The one deep ball against anOSU in the CFB playoffs is such an anomaly. Even when I see the replays 2 years later, I expect him to drop it.

  23. Dawgs really seem to have lost their way.
    We must not have a running game…opening up with a low-percentage bomb that put us behind the chains. But Beck did put that ball right on the money for the drop….and now Tennessee is already up by 7.
    Again, our ability to pressure the QB has disappeared and so has solid tackling. We’ve already given Tennessee a heap of yards after contact.

    I hope we can turn it around but this looks a lot like last week to me so far.
    We look again like the nervous and intimidated underdog…maybe we are. As I write this, we just had another drop…and punted. If Tennessee drives the field like their last drive I think the rout is on. Sorry for the negativity but I’m just telling it like I see it. My heart hurts for this team and especially for Beck…who is getting the bulk of the undeserved blame.

  24. People will be screaming for Bobo’s head but when your two best receivers drop balls and you try a freshman who can’t adjust to the open field what can he do? Somebody has got to step up and quit waiting for someone else to make a play.

  25. Beck has had time to throw so offensive line doing ok there. We just can’t catch, tackle, run the ball, or cover receivers.

  28. Good stop by the D. Let’s hope the O finds a bit of inspiration. At this point I’d settle for at least a little perspiration.

  30. When they showed the view behind the 3rd down pass that was batted down, I’m not sure it would have mattered. The Tennessee DB had the receiver covered like a paint job. Our guys get ZERO separation.

    • If it hadn’t been tipped the DB was holding the hell out of our receiver. If it would have been called, who knows?

    • Funny thing about Lockett making that big catch. He didn’t catch it with his hands, as I assumed all WRs are taught. It came all the way to his chest, and still came within a whisker of being another drop.

  41. Does it seem like we’re doing the pre-snap shift more right now than we have in recent games? Looks like it’s throwing off their protection.

  43. Arian Smith finally catches a pass, and then reverts back to form. Lucky recovery for us.

  45. FFS, why are these f’ers with awful hands still getting playing time? A walk-on who actually can catch a ball would be better than drop after drop.
