Hot damn! The playoffs are here! I think I need a drink. Here’s the schedule for tonight and tomorrow:

Any way, the ESPN football tournament kicks off tonight with the football basketball soccer powerhouse Indiana Hoosiers facing off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish whose record against IU is 23-5-1. Gives new meaning to Grizzard’s quote “two mules fighting over a turnip”. Manufactured excitement is the best excitement, don’t ya think? Anyone give a damn which one of these teams advances to the sUGAr Bowl?
Then tomorrow we get to kickoff the day with the SMU/Penn State matchup. A game between Ty Ty Tech and ABAC would be more interesting. And ticket sales have reflected that, the only game with big interest is the 8:00 game tomorrow night and that’s only because Toothless Nation is so desperate for relevance that they will take any opportunity. The WORST fan base in college football. Quite an accomplishment. Oh meteor, wherefore art thou meteor? Oh, and Clemson & Texas play tomorrow, too. More mules, more turnips, not much fight.
Ticket sales have lagged for these games. So what? This is ESPN’s tourney, they don’t give a damn who attends, just be sure you tune in on TV, you guys!
Well, it’s here. And because I am addicted to college football, I will watch all of it.
This post is available for your comments throughout tonight’s game and tomorrow.
Go Dawgs!
I’m rooting for Clemson and OSU. I’d love to see those toothless hillbillies knocked out in the first round. As far as Clemson and UT, well I live in TX now and I’d like to see them knocked down a few pegs.

Indiana has not won at nd since 1898. After watching one and one half quarters I feel confident in saying that oh so elusive victory will not be happening tonight.
It’s almost as if a team that beat a bunch of nobodies all year and lost to the only decent team they played isn’t very good. Whoda thunk it?
Also… and i know this is petty… but IU’s uniforms look like they stopped by Dick’s on the way to the stadium and bought them off the rack, then ironed on names and numbers.
Hoosier daddy?
If you’re the Hoosiers, the answer is Notre Dame.
Why is everyone so angry? I for one am enjoying watching ND fatten up on a cupcake;)
We’ve got some sugar for ya Irish😜
Our DL finna eat.
Get the Irish behind the chains then unleash the hounds of hell! Go Dawgs!,
I’ll be pulling for the Hillbillies over the Rust Belt arrogant red necks who cut everyone off on I75 driving to Florida.
If Texas and anOSU meet, I may pull for anOSU only because I don’t want to face Texas 3 times in a few months.
Pulling for Clem’s Son tommorow, and the Hoosiers tonight simply because I hate ND.
The Hoosiers strike me as team that should be playing a Kentucky or South Carolina team in a Bowl game played before New Years but benefitted from a decent coach and an expanded Big10 that allowed them to get an easier than normal schedule. I might turn this game off in the 3rd.
“arrogant red necks who cut everyone off…” That’s a funny, yet oddly specific insult. It sounds like you’ve had some experience with them.
It is a multi generational family observation dating back to Grandparents’ family beach vacations.
Indiana = huge pretender. Joke of a schedule, no quality wins.
I hope the gamblers cleaned the casinos’ out.
We play our game … we beat ND soundly. I really hope they come in thinking they are playing the Georgia team that played down to Fech.
and I hope UGA goes in thinking they’re playing Texas in Austin.
Kirby needs to let his guys hear the ND fans chanting “We want Georgia” before the game tonight.
Play it before and after every practice.
Or better yet, let them see the Texas fans chanting the same thing a few months ago.
Is IU really gonna cover? I did not see that coming 20 minutes ago.
The first 6 quarters of the expanded ESPN Invitational show how College football is not the same sport as NFL or college basketball. There is little parity between the top few teams and the rest. Cramming teams into a bracket doesn’t make them more competitive.
