  1. Bama should have posted about Devnota Smith instead, he was the first bama player to ever score a TD in the long history of Super Bowls. I believe he is also the 5th player ever to win a Heisman, CFNC and a SB. Not that I care any more for him but I would have done that WAY before I posted about Hurts.

Halftime show was horrible. Commercials were sub-par for SB commercials. My favorite was the seal with Seal’s face singing then the old lady that flashed the bingo caller.

  2. If Saban had been in charge of the halftime show, he would have pulled Lamar and subbed Tay-Tay and gotten the win. That show was horrid. Even if there were subtitles you couldn’t have understood it. Why does anyone care about whatever the deal is between him and Drake? So many other performers to choose from, why him? Same mentality that tries to convince the world that a banana duct taped to the wall is extraordinary “art”.

    • Get off my lawn!!

Anyone I would stop to watch perform at the Super Bowl either:

      Would be dead
      Would refuse to do it
No one under 40 would have ever heard of them

Is there a “pop star” of any musical genre who I would watch? I doubt it because I either don’t know who they are or I haven’t listened to one of their songs. Pop sucks. Rap sucks. Country pop sucks. Lets face it: any music that incorporates wardrobe changes and choreographed dancing sucks.

      • I’m sure you know this, but they aren’t doing half time shows to attract your attention – they already have it. They want the ‘yutes’ to get hooked and grow the next generation of consumers.

        • That’s why getting Taylor to the SB is so important for the league. It’s estimated that she has a billion or so fans around the world. That’s a lot of new eyeballs. The NBA has China, the NFL has Taylor.

  3. Commercials were mediocre and I skipped the halftime show (never heard of whoever was doing it). Game was good, but only because I was cheering for the Eagles. I can’t imagine being a KC fan and watching that pathetic performance.

  4. My favorite commercial was the “When Harry Met Sally” one with Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan with the sandwich-gasm. Meg’s acting was nowhere near as convincing as in the movie though.

  5. It seems like the writing for TV, movies and commercials is just nowhere near as good as it used to be. Not sure why no one can write good, funny commercials anymore. It’s a skill that has almost totally disappeared.

  6. Halftime show sucked royally. Wonder when they’re going to have some good ole fashion rock and roll. JLo once did a halftime show and my eye hurt afterwards.
