For those of you who participate, it’s that time of year again. Time to have your Fantasy Draft picks, organizing your league, and generating the punishment for the last place finisher, if you do it.
So, for today’s Roundtable…do you participate in Fantasy Leagues? Do you have a creative punishment for the worst team…do you have a creative reward for the first place finisher?

It goes without saying that I did not come anywhere close to winning. It also cured me of ever wanting to play any sort of season long fantasy games in any sport.

It’s been a while since I was in a league, but my very first year was in a group of seasoned FFL guys who used an auction draft. If you’ve ever been in one of those, you know how high strung and even angry it can get.
There were a some yankee transplants, some Jets and Bengals fans, drinking keg beer when the sun came up. At one point, a brick was thrown at my friend who introduced me to the group. Just wild…and absolutely hilarious that I finished in 2nd place and took home some case as the newbie in the group!
I don’t play fantasy football. I don’t have the interest in the NFL and would flat refuse to sign on to one of the last place punishments.
I have seen people who had to try local qualifying for the U.S. Open that would shoot 100 on a normal good day. It’s ridiculous that these people have to claim to be a professional to get in and then embarrass themselves and slow everyone down around them.
