I wonder what this means for the depth chart.

I’d imagine that an indefinite suspension means he hasn’t been practicing since the dismissal, or if he’s even interested in returning at this point. Innocent until proven guilty, I guess.

It will help him play somewhere. Whether that’s Athens is TBD. If he was always innocent, he may harbor animosity for being cast aside. If this retraction is horseshit, its just a means to land elsewhere.
Who knows what the truth is? The unfortunate reality is that the motives to say one thing initially and another one later are real.
A “victim” could tell the truth, lie or exaggerate initially because of anger, jealousy, etc… and then turn around and say the opposite because they’ve destroyed the “meal ticket.”
Its a damn shame, but it happens all too often.
Kirby took the right action when the incident occurred (see Anderson, Adam). If the charges are dropped (see Kendrick, Derion), he will be welcomed back to the team (there’s a reason Kim Stephens is his attorney). If there’s more to this, Kirby will take the proper action to separate him from the team (see Thomas, Rara and Anderson).
I’m sure this development will be splashed all over the front page of the Athletic just like when he was arrested. Not holding my breath.
First rule of “journalism” – if it bleeds, it leads.
Is the AJC reporting that the lovely couple first met at Toppers?
Good call, tonyhig. This news broke 14 hours ago and as you predicted, there still isn’t any mention of it on The Athletic or on ESPN. Yet when the news broke about the arrest, it was up within minutes. FTMFs in the media!
If it turns out that the allegations are false, she should be arrested.
ESPN article says this:
“According to the affidavit, the woman asked the Athens-Clarke County Solicitor General’s Office on Oct. 14 to dismiss the charges against Young. The woman said she made several subsequent requests to prosecutors since then.”
This is odd. If true, how are we just now hearing about it? Why didn’t she/her lawyers release a statement then? Basically, WTH?
