Thursday Thought Provoker: Bobo’s First Play Call Will Be _____

Saw this and thought it’d be a hoot for today.

My comment to the post was a shotgun read draw, that’s supposed to be just a called handoff. Then I thought of the potential for rain, which would lead me to believe it’ll be a 21 personnel formation from under center, with a run play off tackle.

Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments. I’ll even post the correct call from our commenters if one of us gets it right.

    • Have to agree. I feel they’ll do something to establish early that the defense will need to attend to Gunner more than they had to with Beck, trying to establish that to loosen up the receivers.

    • Reply to the guy two rows back screaming about playcalling, OK genius, you got 12 seconds to call the play, consider down, distance, field position, their tendencies, our tendencies, our execution with favorable plays, now make the call.
Air traffic control is a piece of cake compared to offensive playing calling. Talking about play calling is easy clickbait material particularly in hindsight, but is really irrelevant.

      • Excellent comparison. My guess every most every section has their own Bobo expert. Only difference my genius is three rows in front of me. He hasn’t missed a game I was at in at least a decade. I do respect that. Just please STFU I didn’t come to watch or listen to you rage on Bobo.

        • Yes, and while those 12 seconds are ticking the
section 104 experts have to factor 8n any defensive personnel changes.

      • They literally have laminated charts that outline what play to call in what scenario, down and distance. This isn’t rocket science. Hell some fan was calling plays last year at FSU with a Waffle House menu…lol
What matters is whether Bobo has put together a competent offense, a decent game plan and has a good chart.

  1. Anything except a toss sweep. UGA backs made a lot of hay running toss sweeps, now it’s almost like they’re illegal. Whenever he does run one, it’s always to the short side of the field. I don’t get it.

  2. Fullback dive for 3.34 yards. Some dust will be generated. Also, the WRs will be in a 3 point stance.

  3. P/A to a TE.

I suspect they will throw more in the first two games than over the season average. Pump some stats. Try to see what they have under the hood at qb. Make those prima donna receivers happy. Try and get a comfortable lead, see the back ups, etc…

  4. Draw play for the A gap out of the shotgun. Loss of 3, 2nd and 13.
    Dammit Bobo!!!

  5. Right Guard steps on Gunnar’s foot for 3 yd loss.

Never happens again rest of season and ends up being the lead of the 2025 Championship Documentary – “You Can’t Keep a Good Dawg Down.”

  6. I can’t tell you the first play but i can gay-ren-dam-tee you that our first 3rd play will be a draw with the smallest RB we have.

  7. Stretch right to Frazier where he can pick his hole for 12 yard gain. Comes back with P/A boot to TE.

  8. Bobo never saw a wide receiver screen he didn’t fall in love with. Dammit Bobo!!

  9. Field position will matter. inside our own 20, probably will be a conservation run play between the tackles. 25 yd line outward, shotgun Stockton to Luckie or Delp on a cross route for 8-12 yards

  10. Damn, son. Youre excited about the season being here to poke the bear like this. lol. It doesn’t matter what Bobo does it will be wrong to the BDS crowd.

  11. I sort of wish he would call a screen the first play just because it would make some people scream. I really don’t care how we score as long as we score. I think some folks aren’t even happy with scoring if it doesn’t happen the way they want it to happen.

  12. Lined up in the pistol, Frazier off tackle to the right.

They’ve talked too much about reestablishing the run and the O-line this off-season to not start this way (likely a Kirby directive).
