Interesting graphic from the Bulldawg Report:

Find me a place where both offense and defense were clicking at the same time. Fourth quarter Clemson? 3rd quarter Florida or Tennessee?
Also, note the improvement in offense after halftime, alongside the regression on defense in the 3rd.
What’s going on there…also, is our complete game still waiting in the wings? Will it come Saturday or in the CFP?
Tom Fornelli’s tweet I posted was right. He said 6, but the stats say we’ve played really well on both sides of the ball for about 7 quarters this year.
This is just another fancy anxiety level chart. So accurate.
We’re just like a Mike Tyson opponent. We have a plan, but we get punched in the mouth. The difference is we usually figure it out, even if it takes another 30-45 minutes.
Would love to overlay our NCAA leading passes dropped by quarter. Guessing they are more 1st than 4th quarter. I’ve never felt Bobo’s play calling was too off while watching games live…the lack of execution on the field was easily identified. But at some point something needs to change. Either a greater focus in the 1st Q on what works or fire the WR coach. Watching the replay of the tech game, Lovett’s drops were often because of a little distraction/ interference from the DB. But he doesn’t position his body to fend that shit off. Smith has the yips, pure and simple. It’s in his head and he’s freezing at the point the ball is at his hands. If you’ve had the yips in golf or baseball you know exactly the out of body feeling that your coordination spasms in a blink of the eye. He’s made big plays, but he needs special work on the practice field to use his body more to make a catch…his hands are betraying him. Bell must have nagging injuries. He’s a step slower and just a little off. He’s our best WR to use his body to box out defenders but just not as aggressive as we saw last year. Play the freshmen more! And when we use Smith and Lovett to clear out the safeties our TEs are open. Bowers would catch for 7-10 yards and get 20. Granddaddy nearly the same. We get less from Delp, Yurosek and Luckie but so what? The OL is giving Beck time for those slower plays to develop, we need to use it. This includes the wheel routes to Cash. Start our drives with a couple of those and two things happen…the LBs hesitate which open holes for Frazier and the safeties cheat up which lets Smith and Lovett get open deep. Why do I think I know more than CMB? I don’t…this is EXACTLY our 4th Q offense! Maybe start with it?
2 nasty words for any golfer … yips and shank.
