Recently I saw a high school football game and the refs missed a fumble because the home team lights operator and resident DJ cut the lights thinking the home team made a TD. Visiting coach was livid as it happened on the visiting side so it was clear as day.
IMO, it started on Rockyflop but if the Patriots didn’t originate it, they did perfect it.
