Just more room for Georgia fans to take over.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I see varying thoughts from contractual obligations to money…I’m sure it has nothing to do with NIL at all.

Inquiring minds want to know.

  4. I think they have played there some last year and this year and will do so for the next several years. I get a delete without reading emails from Tech since my oldest daughter graduated from there. I still have the email address she used when he applied. Every once in a while I read one and just shake my head.

      Just kidding. I have a couple of friends whose kids went to Tech. Of course, they are still Dawg fans (if they follow sports at all).

      • My Uncle graduated from Tech, my Dad UGA. Thanksgiving of my Sr. year of HS, I got this witty repartee at lunch…

        Uncle: Mike, if you want to go to Tech, I’ll pay for it.

        Dad: Son, if you got to Tech, you’re out of the will.

        Needless to say, the choice was easy from there.

  5. Apparently they are obligated to play one game a year there, and I am guessing they don’t have a suitable game to play there next year (i.e., no Clemson or Notre Dame), but I don’t care enough to look at their schedule so I’m gonna speculate wildly instead….

  10. So we move this year’s game to Friday night and then we move the game to MBS. Fuck tradition and fans. I don’t love Mark Richt field, but damn.

  12. I’ve come to the point where I don’t see why we even play them anymore. Beating them is expected, but losing to them is the worst thing that can happen to us. Tech is the worst fanbase in the nation. They would rather UGA lose than their own team win on any given Saturday as that is what gets them off. They celebrate our coaches, mascots and radio announcers dying (Don’t believe it? Read the Stingtalk blog). They are the most vile, hateful, disgusting, pathetic fans in America and we gain nothing by beating them and lose everything if we lose to them (and you can’t beat every team every time). I see no reason to keep playing them since we are usually expected to beat them. They have no idea how to act when they win and think that they are better than everyone else if they attend Tech or have graduated from Tech. I personally hate that school and would love to never see them on our schedule again. I would like to eclipse the 8 game winning streak, but besides that, to hell with them!
