Thanks for the Memories

When asked to reflect on his career and his most memorable game experience, Gary Danielson had one environment that stood out the most. Can you guess where and which game?

I was there, and, yes, it was surreal.

Go Dawgs!

  1. Gary always grated on my nerves and without Uncle Vern he was insufferable. But there was never any doubt that he knew his stuff. The way he could tell you what play was coming next was really something.

  2. Me too. I’d hoped to die a Bulldog with a 0 on the right side of the ledger vs. those fuckers…. Anyway.

I did take time to mention to the nd fans around me in nola that the last time they’d won a game of any significance I wasn’t old enough to buy beer. (It was 1988. I’m 55).

That was one turrible night in Georgia football history. What’s next? Losing to Michigan? Ohio State?

Fuck that shit. I need those 0’s to stay 0’s!!!

  3. I thought he was going to say the Blackout against Auburn, but yeah, the ND game was “lit” as well.

  4. I thought so too. My three favorite are blackout, LSU Awaken the Nation and Notre Dame so loud and fun the stadium was rocking.

  5. He was good. His favoritism for Saban was nauseating but he was just admiring the GOAT. Thing is…Vern and Nessler are from the South. Gary just never seemed to fit in with the SEC mentality but he does know his X and O’s.

  6. The 2022 Tennessee game was so loud it literally hurt my ears, but for sustained continues crowd noise the ND game is the standard. We did our job that night.

  7. I wasn’t at thst ND game but there’s no way it was louder than the ‘13 LSU game because you can’t get a stadium louder than that.
