Good afternoon again, scamps. Many of you have been testing out the commenting on my Privet Leaf page, with what seems like the “feels like the old times” comments coming in.
To test things out, I adjusted some of the settings here to see if we can get the same functionality here. Pardon the technical experimentation…can you please attempt to comment to this post on this site, so we can see if the adjustments are working?
To help, here’s a Wednesday afternoon conversation starter: Billy Napier saved his job Saturday by generating hope that the Gators would’ve beaten Georgia with a healthy Lagway.
Discuss, and let me know in the comments how things are working for you.
Thanks again – JP.
Does Hope work for coaches?
That seems to work
FTMF’S
Nothing has changed for me. Still getting submitting comment, then have to back out and start over to see the comment.
Same for me. I have to refresh the page every time I submit a comment.
Damn, Lagway is the new Mechie, isn’t he?
Had some problems at first. It wanted to connect my WordPress account with my “GTP Blog” account. I dunno, we got past that hurdle I guess.
The fact that Beck was completing more passes to them than Lagway seems to be forgotten.
I hope he stays.
It’s worked the same for me the entire time. I submit a comment, then it says “submitting comment”. It says that until I refresh the page, then the comment shows. I’m using chrome on a mac if that makes a difference. Works fine for me
It’s not up to him if he wants to stay in the sec …CKS set’s the tone for the dismissal of sec hc’s (after a certain amount of ass whippings, ya gotta’ go) …GO DAWGS!
I hope he’s there at least for one more cocktail party.
Hope the tweaks work out.
Let the Gators have their false hope of winning if not for Lagway leaving the game.
I still can’t see my comment without going back out to the post and still can’t post an image or gif like I can on the old style page.
Yeah, I changed the settings here to mirror what I had in the Privet Leaf site, but it seemed to lock people out with the tweaks here. What you’re experiencing with comments is what we experience with posting content, too, and it’s frustrating. We’re continuing to investigate…
I can post now on Jetpack.
Billy, Billy, Billy may you stay in Hogtown a while longer.
Worked fine. I do have to log in, but it works!
If this pans out, it may be the best three-interception 14 point GA victory in the history of the program. (I’m grasping at straws here, but if anyone wants to out*-history me, I’ll listen)
Billy don’t be a hero! Seems I’ve heard that before. I get the same “submitting comment” but hell I’m on and off anyway. When I stay to long my wife wants to know HOW LONG CAN YOU READ THAT DAMN DAWG BLOG.
Posting on Jetpack on iPhone. Can’t post using iPad. Nothing’s perfect and I’m just happy the blog is here. And also…fuck Florida. We were going to take over that game at some point no matter if Lagway was in or not. Too much talent/depth differential.
Testing through Jetpack App on iPhone.
Still can’t respond directly through conventional safari browser on iPhone. Get “Sorry, you must be logged in to comment” after I enter my information. I realize I’m most likely making an error as I am not the most interweb savvy ole boy.
Jetpack may not be worth the hassle for many folks. As you all know; the easier you make access, the more comments you’ll get. I know y’all are trying to improve the process & WP is apparently a PIA through which to run a blog. I appreciate everything you boys (except for shit stirrin’ derek) are doing to carry the GTP torch. Thank you!!
Whatever you did fixed my inability to comment. I had emailed Otis.
No good. Have to come back to JetPack. I still think it’s the version of the WP template you’re using not the settings. I had similar issues with a personal site.
I never felt that the Dawgs were in trouble last Saturday.
Test
Using my phone, I still have to click the Like twice to have it show that it was liked and have to refresh the tab to show my comments and replies.
I can still comment but have to refresh like others have stated. I still can’t “Like” someone else’s comment.
