After that play, they had net 60 yards rushing and just over 200 yards of total offense for the remainder of the game. The defense put on a clinic, and the offense kept on chopping.
I’ll say it again. They had us right where they wanted us…..for 11 seconds.
The premature champagne popping was awesome. It’s really nice to be on this side of it where people go crazy because they score on you and they’ve convinced themselves if they play perfect they can win. I remember doing that in the past. Florida seems to be a mixture of denial and resignation when it comes to Georgia’s new place in college football but Tennessee seems to be taking it the hardest of the teams we play. I said in ‘21 that Bobby Hill’s offense is the knee triple option. Nothing has happy to change my mind.
Of all my favorite all-time wins over the Viles, this is certainly one of them.

Just two years from this coming fall, at the end of the 2026 season, Dawgs will have imposed the longest winning streaks in both the series against the Viles and also against Tech. Can’t wait! 👍

My bride and I were at both games. The first video vol fans sitting in front of us were trash talking at us, but my bride wouldn’t let me talk back. It was even worse after that first play. But by the mid-third quarter you could hardly hear a peep.
In the second video when I saw the corner come free my exact thoughts was this guy is about to get plastered because he never saw him coming.
