There was some disagreement on AD Mitchell’s status as a DGD, and I get both sides of the perspectives. I’m of the camp that Fields isn’t a DGD, but not all of our athletes have the patience of Carson Beck.

I have wondered if 2018 would’ve played out differently if Fields were under center, but I’ve come to not question CKS’s wisdom. He brought us two Nattys and we could argue we were very close to a few more if Alabama didn’t have two future NFL quarterbacks in the backfield…at the same time. I found it hard to pull for Fields in Columbus, and he unquestionably balled out for the Buckeyes. He didn’t have any help around him in Chicago comparably to what he had in Athens and at OSU, which says a lot about both programs. Fields has talent; however, he didn’t “trust the process”…so as far as I’m concerned, to hell with him and the mule he rode in on.

Whatever the Steelers are seeing in Russell Wilson over Fields is beyond me, I just hope to see Darnell getting more touches this year in Pittsburgh.
