The ratings are in for the Lushes and Liars bowl game. Not surprisingly, the day and possible participants didn’t feel in the greatest of ratings.

Compared to the prior CFP and Bowl games:

Keep in mind 16.6 million tuned in to watch Georgia and Texass in the SECCG…but, you know, the SEC is dying as a conference in comparison to the B1G viewership.
Oregon-Penn State only drew 10.5 for the B1GCG. The highest viewed B1G game was The Game, at 12.3 million (UGA-Texas game 1 drew 13.1 million).
But what about average viewership, you say?

Mickey had best be careful about the SEC shade. It’s be a shame if the conference up and developed their own independent network, wouldn’t it? Hell, I’d opt for the CW or Hallmark Network before we give another red dime to the WWLIS.
Just imagine if Notre Dame joined the SEC or ACC.
New Year’s Day late afternoon game vs. a random Thursday night game.
I can’t believe the sugar bowl pulled that many viewers in that time slot on a non-holiday weekday.
There were still a lot of people who weren’t back to work on the 2nd or 3rd.
ESPN/ABC/Disney holds the grant of rights. The SEC can’t do a damn thing about whatever the talking heads say.
As the old saying goes, you sleep with dogs, you get fleas.
Yep, 10-year contracts are a bitch. Thanks, Greg!
The SEC: It just pays more.
I could care less about the SEC or SEC shade. I have never rooted for an SEC team to win the national championship except the Dawgs.
How much less could you care?
You mean the people who brought us Monday night national championship games might not have the best judgement about viewership?
Didn’t watch a second of either game and ain’t staying up late next Monday. If it ain’t the Dawgs does it even matter. Watched Ladd, Cook and the Philly Dawgs some but that’s it. The World Wide Leader won now I don’t drink , stay up late and jog around and PT trying to chase the fountain of Yoots
