As you’re aware, the Pitt Boss is out as the head coach in Fayetteville, with Bobby Petrino apparently committing enough mea culpas to be named interim. Also, it’s been publicized that he is strongly interested in the head coach position, and would like to be considered. To show his commitment to improving the program, Petrino is already rolling heads at Arkansas.
They may want to heavily monitor his hiring practices to ensure that no former volleyball players are named as analysts for his new staff.
Man, how time and losing seems to heal all wounds. Keep that in mind when pondering what a post-Kirby Smart coaching staff may look like when Smart decides to hang it up.

With the proliferation of staffs these days, he could probably stuff 2 or 3 side pieces in there, all in separate departments and they might never meet!
How does one replace three defensive staff members in the middle of the season? Analysts already on staff? And what are the portal rules in this situation?

Bobby Petrino is one of the few people who can make Urban Meyer look virtuous by comparison. The fact that he is even employed in a university setting, not to mention once again a head coach, is so exceedingly f-ed up I can’t even come up with the words.
Wow, that’s embarrassing for Arkansas on many different levels.
The day UGA hires a POS like that to lead our program is the day I check out. Aside from the horrible conduct at Arkansas, he also secretly interviewed for a college job during the season that was not open and quit on the Falcons in the middle of a season that was going poorly to take another job. Arkansas deserves every bit of criticism the and inevitable embarrassment from this hire.
Well, you have to have at least a minimum amount of (fill in the blank) before you can be embarrassed.
Zero lack of integrity from the Arkansas president and AD. There are so many deserving assistant coaches to be considered. Take Schumann or Bobo…please.

I feel really bad for the Pitboss. That said Freeze and Petrino back as Head Coaches in the SEC. The matrial just writes itself. It’s like comedy manna.
Kirby please throw enough money to the Pit Boss to make him come back to Athens. Oh and stop hiring assistants that can recruit but can’t coach.
