Wouldn’t you know it…the Diamond Dawgs have first pitch next Friday, February 13th.

Looks like tickets are affordable, as well. That’s a rarity.
Lucky us, some of the games are being televised this season…
Actually, I’m sure there will be more televised games than that, but at least that’s something to look forward to as we pass the quiet days away until football season.
The group is highly touted, with Super 8 potential heading in to the 2026 season, and some projecting they wouldn’t be surprised if they win it all.
That reminds me, I shouldn’t watch Georgia Basketball this weekend. I’ve been watching too much lately, and I thought I’d broken that curse.
I love college baseball season. I think the only game that wasn’t a available to watch last season was the game against Tech at Truist Park oddly enough. Some stupid excuse about Truist not letting the cameras be used or the cameras were on the road with the Braves? UGA was blamed for not wanting to bring ca.eras from Athens or something.
Granted it is streaming, but you can watch just about every game if you have ESPN+. It is typically Dantzler on the broadcast or some random SECN guys. I have no clue why, but the SEC Network chooses to show more softball than baseball which makes zero sense to me. As a result the baseball games are locked over to the streaming option.
Love what dawgs baseball. What is this Basket Ball sport you speak of
I’m a wait and see guy with Georgia baseball at this point. They crush people in the regular season and then get handled by a hot team with good pitching in an Athens regional. Lather, rinse, repeat.
So, pretty much the college version of the 90s Braves…
In Kirby’s history as head coach some of his best coaching hires have been guys I’ve never heard of before. Far be it from me to suggest that I know better than Kirby.
