Well this is reading more and more like an NFL holdout is it not.
But hey, at least it’s Tennessee. So…

Where’s the trash cans when you need them?
+++++
Update:
Yeehaw. And then there’s this:
So who is Tennessee’s QB2 again? I’m guessing he’s about to be promoted.
Orange is ugly
PARTY PACK
Dorits
NACHO YEAR AGAIN
TENNESSEE
FLAVOR
VOLUNTEERS
Best wishes for more continued failures.
Arkansas State is the current rehab location for those 5-star hearts…
Couldn’t be happening to a more deserving school.
AMEN brother
Let’s hope they can work something out so Iamaleava can be Imastay-a. I really like our chances with him on the other side.
So is Nico going to test the open market? Basically what Carson Beck did.
Player hold outs for more money at the college level is the next thing and will be the dagger to kill the sport.
This result was obvious to anyone watching, except those in charge of decisions
This will certainly make him a fan-favorite and super-popular in the locker room.
This is exactly the point … now that this is out in the public, will Tooth Nation want him back? Will his teammates want to play with him?
I’m guessing someone has put a large number out there.
I’m sure Nico will flourish at Ole Miss.
He can’t transfer to an SEC school in the spring window according to conference rules.
If this is that far along, I would assume he gone.
I’m thinking USC or Colorado might be on the other line. Of course I’m rooting that it’s really Nebraska and Rhule or better yet…Mike Norvell.
The Boy Wonder was my first thought. Coach Amazon Prime seems like a good alternative as well.
This is all a dang Wild West Show. I mean, I love it, but, also… I hate it.
Hope he stays because we owned him. Sounding more and more like he’s gone though. No love lost either way.
This kind of stuff is just going to happen more and more often at more schools.
My guess is that the next strategy will be to add clauses that prohibit the ability to sign certain NIL deals without a buyout of the original contract. As an example, if you signed a NIL deal with UT for merchandise sales, you can’t sign an NIL deal with Colorado for merchandise sales unless someone buys out the UT NIL deal for $X dollars.
Mustard jars are flying off the shelves in Tennessee as we speak.
Now where’s that McDonald’s bag when I need it…
He gone.
Good for TN for refusing to be held hostage. Let’s face it, any school in the country could have this happen. I’m not sure we didn’t have a low key version of this with Beck, but it seems Beck had already checked out and we didn’t put any extra effort into changing his mind. This was much more a PAY ME OR LOSE ME play. If they gave in to him, probably more problems than letting him go. Guess we see if heupel really is a genius.
