So it turns out the Judge who was originally assigned the Sorsby case, a Texas Tech alum, has appropriately recused himself to hand it off to a possible A&M or Baylor grad judge, instead. That actually sounds reasonable and appropriate, at least to the judge, but not to Red Raiders fans, who are perplexed as to why they just can’t cheat and steal their way into the CFP, you know, like everybody else.
To be fair, if they needed some pointers in cheating, they need to go out of the SEC and have a conversation with this guy:

What an impressive coaching tree. Six arrests, five firings for cheating, two dismissed for sex crimes, and one who was forced to resign for endorsing *checks notes* slavery. While I researched it and can’t find any evidence about the last one (seems to be a social media urban legend) it’s definitely an impressive resume.
Aim high, Red Raiders! You’ll reach the pinnacle of cheating someday, you just need to be more creative and innovative to do it!
They missed their chance at a Cheatin’ Arse Dynasty when Gubner Tubby Tommerville slinked out of town during a recruiting visit. H82CIT!!! (learned that from a co-workers kid) lol
Shit, Tubberville was sitting at a restaurant table with recruits, their families and other Texas Tech staffers when he got a phone call from his agent. He excused himself, left the table and guests and called his agent. His agent told Tubs he had an offer from another school. Tubs immediately left and did not return to.the table or let anyone know where he was going. The guests and staff say there wondering where the head coach was and why he left them.
He a man lacking integrity.
Maybe they’ll score a point in a playoff game.
Don’t bet on it…..!
It’s funny that you posted about cheating today. I am a bit surprised the judge recused himself even though that is right thing to do. I think it makes it more likely that Soresby will be ruled ineligible.
I was curious to know how the college football world views what is happening in England with Southampton and their “spygate” scandal.
After finishing in 4th place in the Championship (2nd Division), Southampton had qualified for the Championship playoff for the third promotion spot to the Premier League. They played a home & home 2 leg semifinal against 5th place Middlesbrough.
On Thursday 5/7, 2 days before the first game in the semis which was Middlesbrough’s home game, a Southamption coaching/analyst intern was spotted filming their opponents training session. When Middlesbrough’s staff saw him, they went to confront him so he ran off to a nearby golf course, bought clothes in the pro shop, changed them in the locker room and then fled.
It was pretty cut and dried who was doing the spying and it broke a rule that you cannot scout a team’s training 72 hours prior to a game. Southampton admitted it. The head coach was well-aware of it too. Apparently the team admitted it in a hearing and even turned over team staff’s What’s App messages.
Southampton and Middlesbrough tied 0-0 in the game at Middlesbrough and Southampton won the game at their ground 1-0. How these games got played before the final hearing and ruling is insane, but it looked like Southampton was going to play Hull in Saturday’s “Richest Game of Futbol” at Wembley. The winner would be promoted to the EPL for the 2026/27 season.
But Tuesday night, the EFL ruled that Southampton was being expelled from the playoff and Middlesbrough is now slated to play in the game on Saturday.
