Masters fantasy update – round 3

MayoDawg and Parker Party take a 6-shot lead at -33 into today’s final round over the guy with a dartboard. It should be a fun race for the green jacket today and for GTPR bragging rights.

The UGA Tour leaderboard:

Davis Thompson -2

Harris English EVEN

Bubba Watson +1

Brian Harman +3

If you didn’t see it, dial this up to about 11:10. This could be the shot on 15 that wins Rory McIlroy the jacket and completes the career Grand Slam.

Just incredible. If I can’t win the fantasy competition, I hope Rory gets his great white whale.

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. I normally pull for the Americans here, but not any LIV golfers. Does it seem to anyone else that DeChambeau is trying too hard to be ‘Mr. Popular’? Hope McIlroy waxes his ‘look at me’ ass by 10 shots.

  2. In going for the great white whale, we’ll see if Rory goes the way of the Great White Shark. That Sunday in ’96 was the most painful slow-motion train wreck I’ve ever seen in sports.

  3. I don’t play golf. It was an elective my freshman year in college. Bored me to tears then and if I watched/played it would do the same today. I can appreciate the skill level to play competitively with the world’s greats but few things could be more boring to watch. I hope you all enjoy. As for me I will be working in my garden.

    • Couldn’t possibly disagree more, playing it or watching it. As my playing days may be over, back issues, it has become my 2nd favorite sport to watch
. The skill level, unimaginable to someone who never really tried to play the game well (I was never very good but tried for years) and the pressure they perform under is hard to understand. There aren’t many
things you can do that is more under a microscope. There is no hiding out there, you perform or you don’t. Period. Love it!

    • Talk about boring! To each his or her own with a right to your opinion. OMG: For me I hope I’m never ready for a trowel instead of my clubs. Prefer exercise and the challenge with the hardest sport in the world over your kind of “work”. Open that door a crack after all these years, and you might feel differently. being pleasantly surprised, instead of assuming and being close minded. Thanks for helping Rory to win in the playoff cursing Jun by accidentally stepping on a rose!

      • Good grief. Might I suggest you try Midol Complete. I opened the door. I tried both options. I chose vegetable gardening. Why should that set you off trying to insult me? Have a good life. I don’t know who rory is but congrats to him. Adios.

  4. Rory is a favorite of mine and I hope he gets the win. Did you see the video of his daughter “Poppy” rolling one in? As the father of daughters and big sisters, it was pretty cool
