With 49 days to go, it’s hard to believe that the team everyone’s saying will make a lot of noise this year laid this egg in Atlanta a few years back:
Well, when you’ve got Nike money coming from one of your wealthiest alumni, there’s no reason to see why it should ever happen again.
I don’t doubt Oregon will be in the final four, if not this year, in the years soon to come. However, dumping more money doesn’t always translate to championships. Just ask Texas A&M.
Since the countdown started I’ve been thinking that once it got to the forties I would probably start really getting excited. I was right.
Nike money and a good coach could go a long way.
I think Lanning may be that coach.
I’d bet Connor Stallions could be had fairly cheaply.
‘Unlimited money’ might be a bit of a reach. I guess he means that Phil didn’t put Oregon on a budget, but even he doesn’t have an infinite supply of cash to offer. The well may be deep, but there is still a bottom, and scads of cash hasn’t helped aTm yet.
That jimbo and a pocket full o cash experiment really worked out well for a&m, the ducks and nike cash should have a little different result, if nike was really serious, they would have at least a dozen or so medium to full duty duck planes on the tarmac for all this lovely cross country flight time…fore see a ton of games forfeited by weather conditions alone (in all big whatever sports)…GO DAWGS!!
Well if you can get guys who have a dream of the NFL and not just the NIL UGA will be OK for the future.
