If The SEC’s Strength of Schedule is Overrated

Consider this guy was the Darling of the PAC-10 (and now B1G) and was heralded for winning wherever he goes.

The Tide mustered only 3 points against a team whose DFEI and DYPP have been trending in the worst direction, and somehow scored 24 points with next to no offensive pulse prior to their game last night against Alabama.

Granted, it happened against a former BIG XII team, but you get my point. To be honest, the Texas and A&M game will be interesting to watch, but if I had my choice, I’d prefer to face the Longhorns again and quiet the Texas fan base’s narrative that they “could’ve beaten Georgia if…” As BCDawg97 mentioned in the other post, we’re now at this:

Maybe they won’t sell bottled water to the Texas fan base this time. What’re yall hoping to see in the next week? Personally, I’m more concerned about Faulkner and Tech, and would like nothing more than for Friday night to be a slaughter of the Nerds. The rest will take care of itself.

Go Dawgs.

      • This season could just be whut the Doctor has prescribed for UGA football to rise up and seriously take that sec position as the “Team to beat” year in and year out…All titles go thru CKS/UGA football, the bammers were that team for quite a fucking while, beat and I mean BEAT The North Avenue Fucking Trade School, roll into the the seccg with a little bit of a pissed off attitude vs that fucking, no count media bias and cfp group of asswipes (looking at 2023 Mickey)….GO DAWGS!

    • Bama got called for holding too. Finally a taste of their own medicine. Of course, they were missing their D captain which accounts for why Okie scored 2 defensive TDs or something, something, Metchie…

  1. F-bum should be glorious tomorrow.

I’m guessing Kirby will have the team completely focused on Fech. I hope like hell students get their asses in their seats and people make the trip to Athens on Friday night ready to be at full throat.

  2. Conspiracy theorist says (Bama and Freshwater) threw the games because they thought they still have a good chance of getting in the playoffs with 3 losses. Now a week of rest rather than lose in the SECCG but we still were picked by the committee of clowns. Stranger things have happened huh.
Seemed at the end there Dart was throwing to Auburn DB’s instead of his on receivers. Laner himself brought it up all week about the disadvantage of playing in the SECCG.

    • Maybe winning the SEC and the bye to go along with it are exactly what the doctor ordered. Practically a full month off and likely back in MBS for a quarterfinal rather than a game in cold weather in Athens or somewhere else.

    • Dart threw to gators, who then stole there stupid basketball goal to dunk on them.

  3. I’d rather see the Aggies. It is statistically difficult to beat a team twice in one season. And I do not want a third loss to give the idiots on the committee reason to take us out of the field altogether.

    • Also, regarding the UT excuse making, I saw very little of that here. Most of the fans leaving the stadium knew they got their asses beat (and we sure did let them hear it)! And all of my buddies here admitted it and blamed their coaches and players for the loss, fwiw.

  4. Posted this earlier, but we have to win it. Otherwise we will be out of playoffs and watching 2 teams we beat (both UTs) in instead.
