Good morning. I’ve been quiet this week, haven’t had much to say. I did not take Saturday well. We had a crew here on the dock anticipating Georgia to finally take command of the Bama series. At 28-7 we quit. Gave up. Turned it off. Went inside. Went to bed.
At 11:15 my phone rings. One of my buddies… “we’re ahead, turn the game on”. Half asleep, I’m… what? WHAT? I get up, Turn on the TV… just in time… to see Williams go 75 yds for a TD. I immediately turned it right back off and went back to bed. It was like God said, you’re not disgcouraged enough, watch this!
So, looking back to last Saturday now… with a little clarity… Georgia actually acquitted themselves quite nicely and played a really good second half against Bama. But, all 4 quarters count and when it was over, we’d scored less than they had. I don’t see this UGA team losing in the regular season again this year. But, I saw them beating Bama so, what do I know?
In other news, the blog is still wonky, screwy and annoying. I appreciate all of you hanging with us and supporting us as we try to figure out something, anything to get us back to how the site worked when we started up. As much as I hate to push WordPress’ JetPack app (web browsers should just work), I believe many of you are having success using it so, I encourage everyone to get it and try it. It’s free, don’t cost ya nuttin’! Those still struggling to interact through a web-browser, try that and let us know.
Go Dawgs!
Downloaded Jet Pack, let’s see if it posted.
I gave up on the web browser too and started using the app.
I see it!
Otis, it worked. Thanks.
Otis, about the time everyone started having troubles posting, my work computer (Cisco specifically) decided to block this site. I’ve used it to access this blog since you started and GTP for years before that. I’m not sure if that provides a clue to someone trying to figure everything out but, it seems more than a coincidence.
The links from here sometimes aren’t “live” in the app. Otherwise, the app works well.
downloaded jetpack, works but it is not as smooth before all of our troubles
i blame the russians
auburn sucks, to hell with tech, fuck clemson
I just wanted to tell you all thank you for keeping this good work going. I believe the Senator would be proud! It is much appreciated.
Otis, keep your chin up. This is still the first thing I look at on my computer, and the only blog I ever look at. I’m figuring this glitch out, and if I can do it, anybody can!
I’ve had no problems and enjoy all the contributors. Love the blog. Thanks guys.
Finally trying out Jetpack in my iPhone. Seems to work. Before I could only comment on my MacBook.
Appreciate everything you guys have done to keep the Senator’s group of scamps together.
I’m having no trouble using the site w/ Chrome.
One of my students asked for my thoughts on Ryan Williams. I told him I think it’s interesting that a freshman WR for Bama finished the game w/ 177 yards and caught the game-winning TD while our two most talented freshmen on the offensive side of the ball (Frazier and Reddell) watched the game from the sideline.
Good to hear from you, Otis. I surely understand your turning it off. i did too. I listened on the radio but wasnt watching another minute. Milroe is just basically impossible to defend when he’s on throwing the ball and boy was he on. I think DeBoer made an enemy he’s going to regret making in Kirby the other night. Kirby of course wanted to beat Saban but he loves Saban. Deboer ain’t Saban but seems to think he is. Kirby is going to get him back.
As for the site, I have slowly trailed off on my commenting without even meaning to because doing it this way is frankly just a pain in the ass. I held up on the jet pack app because I thought you had to pay for it and I just wasn’t going to do that when a browser should just work like you said. When this first started somebody here said they suspected some shenanigans on WordPress’s part thinking they could steer people toward other WordPress blogs with the way we are seeing them without looking for them. Seems reasonable. But I’m not interested in other WordPress blogs. Just this one. I guess I’ll get the jet pack app.
