I take it from past posts about the white unis or any uni alternative that we are traditionalists around here.

Hence, I offer you your September 12th alternative, to stand out among the white shirt masses with a GTP alternative fan uniform.

  3. Honest question; what exactly is “fake juice” supposed to mean? I thought it referred to last ditch, lame efforts a coaching staff used when they had run out of other ways to motivate a team. Allowing the team to wear alternate unis for an early season game against a cupcake hardly seems like “fake juice” to these old eyes.

    Would I prefer that we stick with the traditional look? Yeah. But I also see no problem with letting the young’uns have a little fun. If the players and recruits dig the white look, have at it.

    I’m now going to take a nap.

      • Actually the Pulpwood game was in Bham. I was there. Bama used to put their tough games in Bham to protect their Ttown streak.

  4. Lol, “Just Don’t It.” I love it! Also that logo is dope it would make an awesome challenge coin. As far as Fake Juice – Spoiler Alert: Fake Juice has helped me at tipping points in challenges. Fans need to stay in their lane – if the dudes that run 4.4s and blow fools up want some different colours let them wear it. Ain’t no uniform in the history of the Dawgs been part of winning or losing.

  5. Loving the Refugee logo! Not going on the 12th (too hot), but will have on my winning Dawg T. Friend of mine l gave those tickets to him and he has a son(14) who is Dawg crazy! Gotta keep those pups loving Them Dawgs!! Oh, my T won’t be white! Go Dawgs!!

  6. I don’t mind the white jersey white pants uni. While the white helmet looks sharp with the triple stripe, it needs to be for recruit dress-up only. The red helmet with the all white would look outstanding.

    • That was the road unis for a long time under Vince. The silver britches came back early 80’s.

  7. I think it all depends on how the uniform looks and, surprisingly, the all white unis actually look good. They have the same stripes on the helmet as on the pants and it’s a good look, so I’m OK with it (just don’t ever use the white helmet on any other jersey besides the white one). As for the recent alternate uniforms that I can remember (and some that I’d like to forget):

    Red helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants – 1998 Outback Bowl – LOOKED GOOD
    Red helmets, Red Jerseys, Black Pants – 1998 UGA vs UF – YUCK! LOOKED LIKE A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM!
    Red helmets, Red Jerseys, White Pants (no stripes) – 1999 UGA vs LSU – YUCK (Boring)! I hate all white pants without stripes!
    Red helmets, Black Jerseys, Silver Britches – 2007 (vs AU), 2008 (vs Hawaii & Bama), 2016 (vs Louisana-Lafayette), 2021 (vs Cincinnati) – AWESOME!
    Black helmets w/ Red facemasks, White Jerseys, Black pants – 2009 (vs UF) – Just didn’t look right. Use the Red helmet and it would have been fine.
    Silver helmets w/ thick red stripe, Red jerseys w/ black sleeves, Red pants – 2011 vs Boise State – UGLIEST UNIFORMS EVER! Besides the ugly thick red stripe on the helmet, the pants would have looked better if they were silver or black instead of red but I don’t think anything could have helped this abomination!
    Red helmets, White Jerseys, Red Pants – 2020 vs Arkansas – LOOKED GOOD!(I always liked the Red Pants on the road in the 80’s)

    As long as the alternate uniforms don’t look stupid, I’m OK with it. Just don’t do it at home very often unless it’s the black jerseys.

  11. As Saban said, we have one set of uniforms for home & one for the road, I am more concerned with the athletes in the uniforms.
    This should be our focus.
    Forget the BS.

    • I assume you realize this was done as a result of a challenge Kirby issued to fans for subscribing to Glory Glory. This had zero to do with the players.

      Alabama has one set of uniforms because they have 2 colors – crimson and white.

      We have 4 colors a red, black, silver and white.
