Let all the Bulldog faithful rally behind the men who now wear the red and black with two words, two simple words which express the sentiments of the entire Bulldog Nation: Auburn Sucks.
My first date with my wife was at their concert at Albany Fairgrounds 27 years ago. those guys still play time to time.
The lead singer is Glenn Tennyson. Interestingly, he has twin boys who started a band in Albany with some other kids called GrandVille. They are good and, while I don’t follow them, I think they are getting pretty big and they certainly have an Athens presence. They do a lot of original music. Might want to check them out.

I liked the Deep Dark Water album pretty good. I’m from right here near the Kinchafoonee. Not much of a fan of them live to be honest. That guy hollers when he’s supposed to be singing a lot of times. Sorry to be that dude.

i cross that creek all the time going back and forth to Buena Vista. Never gave much thought to where it goes, which is apparently down to the Flint River in Albany. Just glad I don’t have to write out the name.

You’re rock throwing distance from me when you’re not in Buena Vista (pronounced Bewna Vissta).

In Buena Vista. Good Lord my phone hates me.

In honor of RangerRuss, I nominate this for the Lexicon as “a standard reaction to any music offered that is not mainstream, classic, American nor blues, country or Rock n Roll that gets your blood pumping or soul crying.”

Among rockers any minuscule standard deviation from Bachman Turner Overdrive’s “Takin’ Care of Business” is a gotdam hippie song. If its country you have a bit more leeway beginning at the center, which is of course, Merle Haggard’s “Okie from Muscogee.” Once you bump into CBD’s “Long Haired Country Boy” well you might as well be covered in patchouli and burning your bra/draft card or sadly these days it seems: both.

I’ll second that. Have to add a #h/t RangerRuss to it. I miss that guy

Has RangerRuss not migrated over. I am siskey from GTP. I just started coming here yesterday.

Unfortunately, Ranger passed a while back. It was a post earlier on this site.

Well damn. I knew Russ from a long time ago. He was a good guy and as crazy in person as he was on GTP. I am sorry to hear that he passed.

Welcome back, the gang is mostly all here.

Good to see you here, Siskey. It’s sad that we lost the Ranger. But he lives own here. He was a big part of why I was so glad Otis started this and big part of why I want this thing to continue. It is really hitting its stride and with some of the posts I could almost swear the Senator ghost wrote them.

Mike, you can come to hunt camp in Shiloh and hang out. Always appreciate the high praise and we will keep trying to keep the content rolling.

Sounds great and I appreciate it. When it gets closer to time let’s put something together. I’m trying to get to the mountains for some fruit fishing but things keep coming up. Gonna head up to Talbot County soon and go after some shoal bass though.

I want to GTP for the friends as much as the news. I’m glad to be here and will miss Russ.

Yep. After the initial shock of the Senator’s death wore off what was on my mind was, “I’ll never get to talk to these folks again.”

Loved that band

I understand you, sir! People don’t know the good fishing you can do on the Flint and Big Lazer, runs right through our camp. Love heading down to Ezell’s in Columbus or, better yet, Riverbend for an all-you-can eat fish fry, slaw, and pickles and crackers. God bless southwest Georgja!

I’m gonna have to stop off at the Big Chick and get me some fried livers and gizzards. I’m gonna have to find me some supper soon because that thought is making me hungry.

you can’t go wrong with Big Chic either. Folks don’t know what they’re missing!
