The game pictured on the card is the legendary 1980 Clemson game. My memory is that Hipp had 2 picks in that game.
No, Otis, Hipp didn’t leave after his junior year. He didn’t have any stats to report in 1977.
Freshmen became eligible in 1972, but when did Vince start playing them? I’m guessing Jeff didn’t play his freshman year.

Speaking of freshman and Vince… If I remember correctly, in 1982 Tony Flack became the first freshman to start the opening game of the season under Dooley.
