Went to high school with Frank. Captain of the 80 team. Also chief hog hunter!
If a freshman played on special teams but didn’t make any tackles or kick returns he wouldn’t have any stats to put on cards.

Is Frank Ros the guy who had the really bad luck story about his championship ring? Grizzard did an entire column about it.
I know we all rag on the typos in these cards, but I can fully support this one. Anything that shorts ND 10 points is fine by me.
If you look thru UGA football media guides there are a LOT of errors, just like these cards.
I hate to say this but in the 1980s the Athletic Department had a lot of nepotism with relatives of coaches and coaches’ wives getting well paying administrative jobs that they weren’t great at.
I believe 1980 was, fortuitously, the first year freshmen were eligible to play…..
