By the way, before you say “it’s just Maryland Eastern Shore”, this is the same team that just barely lost to Tech on Monday, 56-52.

I’d like to get optimistic, but I’m not going to. I’ll just watch the highlights on X instead of tuning in to games.

  4. If they show some life in conference play I’ll casually watch some games. Too many years of empty promises to invest my time and heart.

    At least there is no emotional investment in the Falcons.

    • I used to be a big Falcons fan (as much as I could be with the NFL being a far lower passion than college football). Now, I am just blah to the Falcons. It started with me witnessing the 28-3 collapse in person, followed by the terrible loss in the playoffs the following season, and now just miserable performance after miserable performance in route to seven consecutive sub-0.500 seasons (and well on the way to eight). It’s hard in the NFL to miss the playoffs seven years in a row (hence the Falcons and Panthers being the only two teams with that many years absent the playoffs except for the 14 years for the Jets). Somehow, the Falcons’ organizational woes have accomplished that.

  8. Hard to tell how good they are with a 65 point blowout. UMES had more turnovers than points. But the Dawgs look like they will be fun to watch. Looking forward to more Wilkens Windmills.

  9. I watched the game live. It was every bit as one sided as the score would indicate. The team has some good length & athleticism & at least so far some seemingly improved 3pt shooting. Fingers crossed…
