And isn’t it ironic?

Don’t ya think?

If you’d asked me a few years back if we could ever boast this as a Georgia Bulldog fan, I’d have spit in my drink.

I foresee our programs getting even better. Baseball is improving. Gymnastics will be light years better. Basketball saw an ungodly intake of talent.

Who takes the credit? Why are we living in such a gilded time if you’ve been following Georgia athletics for this long?

  1. When the non-football nattys start accumulating, we can beat our chest. Until then, mediocrity reigns. Ant shot 25% last night/Iverson’esque…..he meets his match Wed night/Kyrie! Go Mavs!!!

    • We don’t have to accumulate nattys, but we do have to be relevant; we have to be a team that everyone knows they have to bring their ‘A’ game if they want to win. I think that clear progress is being made: women’s tennis, baseball, soccer and softball have us in every conversation. There is a clear difference from the plague that was McGarity. And all that is a quick turnaround.

      • Being “relevant” is very Mark Richtish.

Success is wearing the crown, having the ring kissed, etc….anything else is not satisfactory. There are no student athletes @ UGA competing for nor happy with participation trophies. They ALL know the ultimate goal.

To McGaritys credit, he did have seven (7) national championships under his watch.

  2. No question the current AD is light years better than the previous idiot.

    • The previous individual in the role was a trust fund manager that used the first few chapters of “A Christmas Carol”as his guide to his job.

    • That’s it right there. I think we all knew McGoofy had to go. Thank Dawg that pestilence has been removed. I want to give Josh Brooks some credit – he is in the position of QB for the athletic department – but if you think about Georgia athletics before Greg and after Greg it is clear that he was ‘working’ to try and keep us mediocre. That’s a ‘special’ gift, Greg. 😡

      • He worked for the Gator’s too damn long should have never let him come home.

  3. Methinks Jere Morehead is quite fond of the increase in revenues from sports and has given Kirby and Josh carte blanch to do what’s necessary to build the sports programs. The very opposite of the McAdams philosophy.
