A Beautiful Mind

Ever wanted to know what was in Nick Saban’s mind…and what might’ve made Kirby who he is today?

I’ve gotta admit, I will have my popcorn ready. Hate him or love him, it’s fascinating to know what was in his mind.

As a former coach of football, I wanna know. I also wanna know so we can protect Kirby at all costs.

In Kirby, we trust.

  1. If its the hagiography I expect, I’m gonna puke. If it covers the medical redshirts, the multiple Darius Philons, Jonathan Taylor, players committing armed robberies of students, maybe it will be worth watching.

Hopefully, Shane Gillis makes an appearance:

  2. He is the greatest coach in college football history in my opinion. I will watch for sure. All programs have skeletons and cheated the rules to get players. I’m not going to be bitter about it if he was good at it. He is a far cry from the scum bag that Urban Myer is.

    • Hate to say it publicly, but I admire the guy. Used a lot of his principles in business. Only hope would be that Kirbs somehow surpasses Saban one day.

    • The things people will overlook:

      1) Handing out more medical redshirts in the spring of year 1 than all other programs had nationally over several seasons. What that meant was that a JR lineman is told: pack your shit and get out. These guys were so hurt, they were on other rosters that Fall. Others may find success in fucking innocent kids. I respect people who take care of those in their charge rather than looking out for themselves.

      2) offering and accepting commitments and then ghosting them when a better player comes along. Again, fucking children for wins doesn’t earn respect from me.

      3) making a big deal of second chances to lay the groundwork for bringing in a guy who had a pending felony assault case. Doesn’t contact anyone in Athens. Not law enforcement. Not the coaching staff. No one. Then Jonathan Taylor beats another girl in Tuscaloosa. Turning loose felons in your community for W’s doesn’t earn my respect.

None of this is “cheating” or skirting the rules. Its just deciding that the path to winning is being a complete and total bastard. And he was and is.

No number of natties will lead me to ignoring those things. Nor will it lead me to fail to acknowledge that his process lead to an unprecedented level of continued success.

Until the end, they were able to avoid the typical entitlement and lethargy that follows success. So I give the devil his due.

But, as a human being, fuck that guy.

  3. I’ll be passing most likely. Hell, they couldn’t even get thru the advertising or promo without showing the Smith catch that should have never happened bc we got screwed multiple times in regulation. Yeah he was great, probably the best. I just hope someone somewhere in history (besides me) notes Kirby should already have 3.

    • The footsie they played with each other is another just gross thing he did. Saban let it be known for years that he was interested in being on screen talent at espn. That meant that espn had a stake in increasing the value of their investment to be. So espn fellates him and his team as much as they can. That’s how an undefeated FSU team got fucked. Espn was hoping for another natty that would make their on screen talent to be that much more impressive.

Fuck them all. May Herbie suck cocks in Hell!!

      • Probably all true. But that Florida State was a pretender even before their opt outs. They hung their entire season on beating LSU. That was their argument for deserving to be there. Im glad they got left out.

        • Football games are played and score is kept.

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one and they all stink.

          If someone’s stinking asshole thought:

“This fsu schedule isn’t good enough”

Then tell them before they start playing that schedule.

A fuckers opinion may have kept us out in 1980 under that system.

Who did we beat? The best win was over a then 14 ranked Cock team at home.

What if Walker goes down in the 4th against tech? Does someone’s smelly ass fecal-laced utterances fucking matter?

          No one’s should.

Opinions matter when two teams have the same record.

You win all the games you break all tie breakers with 1 loss teams.

The rest is grade A horseshit.

  4. I won’t watch for the same reason why I don’t bang my head against a wall. It’ll be a steady stream of painful memories for a Dawg fan, as I doubt the game in Indy will get much airtime.

    • TO KIRBY!!!! TO!!!!

That’s what I was screaming after the sack.

Then one more swift kick in the balls.

      What could have been…

I still want to find the line judge who called Tyler Simmons offsides and do things to him that would horrify Marcellus Wallace.

      • Who had deep third/half responsibility?

It looks to me like Parrish had flat responsibility and Dom got caught peaking.

If we had a beat up Parrish one on one on that kid, then its on the staff.
