College basketball was ruined years ago, but just another reason it is hard to get into these days. Is this a Mike White thing? A UGA thing? Do other teams lose as many key contributors year to year as Georgia does? I don’t follow college hoops close enough to know. I understand guys who don’t start leaving for more playing time, but when starters keep leaving it makes you wonder what the hell is going on.
Isn’t Blue Cain leaving too? Hell, watching that glorious Duke loss I noticed Silas Demery Jr playing for UConn.
Cyril will make more money and be developed into an NBA player by a good coach. Expect more players to do the same. The ones that are at their ceiling (smurfs) will stay and get the most money they can.
Give White more money 💰 & he stays.

In football you can overcome losing a starter or two. In basketball, it’s a killer. Mike ain’t the answer, more money would help but I didn’t believe transfers are jumping at the bit to play for Mike White.
Tru dat….if the UGA AD is content with the recent achievemnets of UGA hoops exposure/success, then this is it (for the next few years), sell out a dozen home games, win 20ish games per season, git invited to march madness, return home before sun rise, this is the current evolution of UGA hoops….GO DAWGS!!
Cyril is a good player, but he needs to work on his emotions. He loses his mind a bit when confronted with physical play, and for such a big guy, he falls to the floor like a soccer player at times.
Nobody is going to fund UGA MBB with $50mil of NIL money to buy a coach and kids for a Final Four appearance. White can probably grab 5 guys to keep playing street ball every year and every year we’ll win in December then go .500 in the SEC with a close call of making a one & done appearance in March. That will cover the operating costs of Stegman which is good enough for the balance sheet.
