Here we go again

The national talking heads are so desperate to be right about the Archduke. On another topic, Josh Pate haz a sad about where John Mateer is on the list.

If Manning’s stats from prior year were shown without his name compared to the others at the top of the list especially against opponents with a pulse, would he be anywhere close to the top?

Refugees, assemble and discuss.

About eethomaswfnc

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

    • I might agree if it was Chambliss and Stockton tied at the top but I don’t know how you put Leavitt above Gunner. Stockton and Chambliss split their matchup last year. Gunner won the conference, Chambliss went further in the playoff.

  1. Are we even sure Chambliss will be eligible by fall? Any chance the appeal gets decided by then?

  2. I hate to admit it, but Trinidad Chambliss carved us up like Joe Burrow.

    • Once he started pulling off that video game BS at the end of the playoff game, I knew we were screwed.

      • On the play you’re thinking about, KJ Bolden didn’t wrap up on a tackle on Lacey, and they converted the 3rd down. The one time I’ve seen KJ do his best Rashad Jones impression.

  3. Archduke or whatever he is probably going to be better, how much we’ll have to see. Boom will help that bunch of shorthorns more l think. Just want that crowd of privileged bastards to lose every game. There ain’t but one Duke, and he ain’t it!!! Go Dawgs!!!

  4. Mateer should be higher. Manning should be lower. Chambliss should be at the top until he’s declared ineligible.

Texas’ defense should be much improved under Boom, which may translate into better play/stats for Manning (less pressure on the offense, he plays more free).

Stockton will definitely be better this season with experience. Looking forward to it.

      • That is certainly true about Sark. He needs to give up play calling, but I hope he doesn’t.

      • Totally agree the offense notably the play caller head coach. Has been so the past two seasons the main problem. Getting a better defense along with better field position for their offense won’t hurt. Getting a motivated coach Boom was a big win.

  5. Arch Manning is the “fetch” of SEC writers, and they will damn well make sure it happens…

  6. What’s more fun with this is to try to name the school the QB is playing for. Byrum Brown is getting skewered on the socials about his throwing mechanics, Marcel Reed is Marcel Reed, and Mateer is a skinny version of Tim Tebow. What is the basis of their rankings?

IMO, the one guy one here who will have a better than anticipated season is Sellers. South Carolina returns a lot of guys and they’ve done their level best to improve their surrounding cast to give him a good year before declaring. I’ll be more sold on Leavitt once I see how he does against quality defensive competition…and whether or not Lane has his head screwed on straight.

  7. Having watched closely when we’ve played Arch 3 times I think it’s fair to observe…he just ain’t that good.
