Not a Spec on the Map Anymore

Wow. Talk about a facility upgrade.

Now, upgrade the basketball program a touch and we can give the Steg to the Gym Dawgs to be theirs and theirs alone.

They have won championships there, after all.

  1. Good on the AA for making it open to the public.

The facility looks incredible. I think it’s safe to say our track coaches are staying for a while.

  2. Excited about the facility. I’m hopeful we have the SEC or even NCAA (would probably need temporary seating) meet coming soon…that would be amazing to go watch.

But it’s silly to say anything about best in the nation when Oregon exists. They host the Olympic trials there for a reason. Not that I expect that…it would be malpractice for the UGAA to build a track stadium that big.

  3. Awesome facility, and I’m glad they’re still calling it the Spec Towns Track. Spec was a Damned Good Dawg!

  4. Is there a Varsity concession stand? I’ve never run faster than to the restroom after a slaw dawg, rings and FO.
