A little late posting this, but better late than never:
Our Hoop Dawgs are up to 23rd in the AP poll now. One more warm up against Long Island after Christmas, and Dawgs open up SEC play against Auburn on January 3rd. Should be an instant test to see if this is just an early season optimism or if this team is legit.
I gave up my season tickets when UGA reseated season ticket holders in the Crean years. Once they got me out of the Steg the jinx was gone!
SEC does not appear to be as strong as last year.

I was there, it was a dunk fest, and it was glorious! I am curious to see if we can hang with the SEC teams, but for now at least, having fun watching them soar. It does appear to me that we’ve picked up more talent at one time than we’ve had in the past decade or so. There seems to be more players that the other team has to account for than just one or two standouts. We’ll see though.

Considering the offensive pace, add defensive pressure at the end bound play, having quality bench depth is the only way to survive a 40ish game schedule…considering the sec dominance last year, UGA basketball should be setting up well to be a force, especially at the steg…GO DAWGS!!

Auburn’s 4 losses have come to teams ranked in the top 8. You’re not gonna rope me in this fast!!! ….kinda kidding, they are fun to watch.

Dawgs are playing a lot of kids. Hope that means we’re deep and we have multiple rotations of 5. Still, they are fun to watch and I think they can make some noise. I’d love tonseenus do better than Florida with their old coach.
