So the matchup is set.

I’m just going to guess that our late season defensive rediscovery will continue, and I’m hoping that our Dawgs are looking for some redemption to what looked like an offensive scrimmage for the majority of four quarters in the original matchup. How do the Oxford scholars feel about meeting Georgia again?
Can’t say he’s inaccurate in that statement.
Meanwhile, Joey Freshwater gets a check while sitting at home and eating popcorn.

He will have plenty of extra cash to get the Hot Yoga staff some gifts. He might want to use some of that money to get him a therapist to stay out of all the coeds’ DMs, while he’s at it.
Ole Miss was competitive in our last meeting because the refs called a bunch of defensive penalties on us and very little offense penalties on them. If that evens out, I expect the Dawgs to win easier than before. I’m a little nervous about them playing in New Orleans though. That place seemed to have some bad voodoo against us when we played Notre Dame. Hopefully that reverses.
Our defense seemed to turn the corner after that game, so I’m hopeful as well. Would love a defensive performance like we saw against Bama and Tech, and an offensive performance like we saw against Ole Miss.
And Texas
I’m getting sick of all of these rematches and that’s only going to increase as more teams are added to the playoff.
I didn’t mind the rematch we already had😜
I love a happy ending.
Rematches generally did not happen in the BCS 2 team championship game (I think 2011 was the only one.) ESPN devised this foolishness and virtually every CFB fan I know fell for the siren song of “settle it on the field with brackets!!!!!!”
Buying what the College Football Playoff company was selling was a mistake.
One thing to watch for is whether or not Gabe Harris plays and how much. Evidently he’s got turf toe. Could be worse but that tends to be one of those injuries that just bags and lingers and doesn’t want to heal. We need him. He was playing at a scary level.
He’s likely out for the year, unfortunately, according to Graham Coffey on Dawgs Central. On the bright side, it looks like Colbie Young may be able to play.
My concern is can the dawgs maintain that edge with the time off. Against bama the man cover was so tight it took a perfect pass to get through. It’s hard to throw perfect passes under intense pressure. If that team shows up it’s not close.
I’m also concerned because every team that got a first round bye last year lost its first game. There’s a lot to be said for when your hot keep playing don’t stop.
That had as much as to do with seeding as anything.
ee,
I totally agree with you on that point. That is the rationale answer.
Just as I’m spoiled now by what Kirby has brought us. There’s always that inner Munson I have to control pregame. As Kirby says humility is your next opponent if you start looking ahead.
“I’m also concerned because every team that got a first round bye last year lost its first game.” I’m not. The only thing about last year that matters is Ohio State is the defending champ and we’ll will fix that IF they get past CB and Da U.
I’m only focused on Ole Piss right now. I throughly enjoy and appreciate your confidence. GATA
ESPECIALLY when you get a glorified scrimmage like Oregon and Ole Miss.
DB play now compared to the time of the Ole Maid game is why I have confidence.
The play it on the field crowd don’t just own the Go5 blowouts but the rematches too. How many times does it take to play it on the field?
In last year’s Sugar we were a really banged up team. We were missing a ton of major contributors, an experienced QB(Beck) in particular. Just my recollection.
And a scary and bizarre sequence of events throwing off our routine by delaying the game to the next day.
Dang, I forgot about that!
And Kirby’s father was in hospital having complications. I don’t think that has been considered enough in how that affected the entire program. And rightly so. Some things are bigger than playoffs games.
do not underestimate the off field distractions in last yrs Sugar Bowl with the biggest one being the health of Kirby’s dad.
we are going lay a Dusty Rhodes Pulitzer prize winning soliloquy beat down on their magnolia state ass.
I’d argue the terror attack that delayed the playing of the game as the biggest off field distraction, but that’s just me.
I don’t think he was arguing Kirby’s dad’s health issues were a bigger deal than the terrorist attack overall in the grand scheme of things. But the terrorist attack and delay you would think affected both teams equally. The thing that affected UGA more than the other team was that our head coach’s dad lay dying in the hospital from a sudden and unexpected event which (rightfully) diverted his attention and emotions away from the game.
He said the biggest off the field distraction was Kirby’s father. I was just saying I think the other one was a bigger off the field distraction.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure Kirby’s dad was easily the biggest distraction to the entire UGA team and staff. If my dad was in the hospital and possibly dying, the entire world could be burning down and I couldn’t care less.
Lane spent last night texting Trinidad and Lagway to see who loves him more.
I’m sure the texts say something like “I got a spare $250k to spread around if you’re interested”.
Trinidad is not accurate as a passer when pressured. If our defense shows up like the last 3 games, we will boat race them
Did Kiffin loan the offensive staff back to Ole Miss to earn 250, 000.
No
🤣
What channel will ESPN have Kiffin’s Kajun Kast on?
Think about this. Ole Miss will be our tenth (10th) SEC game this year. If Alabama makes it to the final game we could be playing eleven (11) SEC games this year. Only two teams have ever played 11 SEC games in a season; Alabama and Florida in the Covid year of 2020.
