  1. Unrelated to this post, but is there something going on with our recruiting? Looks like we’re heavy on 3-stars. For a minute I thought I was flashing back to when Rodney Garner was our top recruiter. Thoughts?

    • Lots of the top players are now looking for the biggest easy payday. Combine that with promising kids you can start right away. Just look at QB’s we lost the last two 5 star commits to no waiting you can start right away and we’ll pay you more.

That’s very different from Kirby’s approach to earn your PT and your NIL money. If you’re not interested in hard work and being developed by learning the right way. If you value easy money now over earning it Georgia is not the right place for you. It’s what makes this team hard to kill.

The days of stacking 4 &5 star players is over for everyone. NIL is here to stay. Paying players like it or not is a requirement. Getting the right hard working young men then development into your team first culture. Not those who are talented but soft because they already are millionaires is the process now.

  2. We swung and missed on a couple big names, but we got some incredible talent on the lines and the defensive backfield. As well as a couple killer TEs. Kirby wants to develop them, which takes time. Some kids are willing to do that, while others want the immediate payout and playing time. We’re still a top 5 recruiting class (some have said top 6) at this time… we’ll see how the cycle closes out.

  3. If we had “elite” coaches (to be named later) we’d be playing in our 5th straight SEC title game with a guaranteed playoff spot already in hand.

  4. I’d take three stars Ladd MaConkey and Jordan Davis rather then entitled five stars.
