Good morning!
When we watched this game Saturday, we had a few friends over so, we kinda shot the breeze and watched the game and didn’t really pay attention to commercial breaks, interruptions, etc. I saw some chatter on X where Ole Miss fans were complaining that the commercial breaks interrupted the Rebels’ momentum. So, I’m thinking, yeah, blame any and everything you can for your failure…
Well, when I started editing this video down, I got annoyed by the amount of commercial breaks myself. Hell, at one point, we came out of a break, kicked off… and went right back to commercial. I’m now old and crotchety… I have grown to despise ESPN/ABC/Mickey (CBS, NBC & FOX can kiss my rear end, too), I only tune them in when live sports are on, can’t stand all their talking heads. Now they are just stuffing commercials up the wazoo into every game. Gotta pay for all those leagues you overpaid for, I guess.
Okay, rant over. Here’s Gunner Stockton’s domination of the Kiffins in living color! Commercial free! Color your world with ABC!
Go Dawgs!
It disrupted their rhythm so much that they scored TDs on five straight possessions? What a terrible way to lose…lol.
Okay.
In person it wasn’t that bad. The first half only took about an hour because the offenses couldn’t be stopped. My guess is that ESPN has to slow it down in the 2d half to get more breaks.
Yeah, the game actually ended a little early. The post game guys mentioned they had 45 minutes to fill. I guess it was because there were only 2 punts/changes of possession.
I think that’s why they had to stack commercials. But F them anyway.
Why does every team that loses feel the need to blame someone else for their loss? Auburn blames the refs. Ole Miss blames TV ads. If we beat the Handbags, who are they going to blame? Chemtrails?
I laughed. You laughed. Chemtrails! Unfortunately our government is actually ‘investigating’ them. Our tax dollars at work.
I blame Bobo 😂
Worst series of commercial breaks the NFL has perfected is a punt, commercials, one play, two minute warning with commercials, one play, TO with commercials, play, injury TO with commercials, play, replay review with commercials…. Nearly as long as the last 2 minutes of a basketball game(40-45 minutes real time).
Otis my man!
Good work on the game video!
