Hoover Sucks Anyway

The vacuum cleaner does a good job at it, too.

Oh, well.

Still, one of the projections I read about has Georgia as high as a 5 National Seed and is in good position to host a regional and a super regional provided they don’t crap the bed like they did yesterday.

Whatever the final seedings should be, Georgia will be back at Foley late next week. Stay tuned.

  1. I wouldn’t say they crapped the bed yesterday. The Sooners gambled not starting Witherspoon against Kentucky and won. That gave them probably the best Ace in the SEC to face Georgia. I was routing hard for Kentucky in the first round because of this.

Dawgs pitched well, but you basically need a HR with men on base to put up a crooked number on Witherspoon and that didn’t happen. Sucks to lose, but Dawgs should still be a Top 8 seed come Sunday.

The new format in Hoover is a huge advantage for the Top 4 seeds (as it should be in my opinion). It basically sets up like a weekend series for those teams and I would be surprised if the tournament winner isn’t one of those four. Dawgs needed to win the Bama series to have a shot at a top seed in Hoover.

    • Going into the game vs a highly regarded pitcher, runs scored are gonna’ be at a premium, leaving runners at third base and errors will do in the best lineups (not to mention a umpire who may or may not have known rules)….GO DAWGS!!

  2. Because our team knows it only requires an annual day trip to Hoover to cover the SEC baseball tournament.
