Larry, Moe, and Curley

In case you missed it, the Diamond Dawgs had an eventful Tuesday trip to Kennessaw and got out with a 6-4 win. The bats have been fairly quiet and cold, although the team has drawn more walks than Piedmont Park on a Memorial Day Sunday.

I shared yesterday some footage of Georgia’s closer Brian Curley tossing some 100 mph cheddar. Turns out his arm isn’t the only thing that’s insane.

Swagger and psychosis aside, it was a heated Tuesday tilt that saw Wes Johnson get ejected shortly after Slate Alford went yard and, um, pointed out the error of the pitcher’s ways.

I think he was saying something, maybe like “FTMFs”.

Go Dawgs!

  1. This group of Diamond Dawgs has some attitude for sure and Curley will be fun to watch in the closer role.

I love the college baseball season. I don’t know what is tougher this year, making it through the SEC basketball or SEC baseball schedule. Both sports have multiple national championship contenders and plenty of depth.

  2. That home run was a moon shot from Alford. I’m guessing, when KSU comes to Athens, the first pitch to Alford is going to be at his ear hole.

  3. You can watch, but you’re getting chin music next at bat. As an infielder I would walk across his home run trot path too. Baseball has gotten soft.

    • How would Bluto phrase this one, “gonna need some more popcorn”…GO DAWGS!!
