Monken just became the first OC in NFL history to achieve 4000+ yards passing and 3000+ yards rushing in the same season, fwiw.

I’m sure lots of folks here remember this, but when Richt brought in Searels as OL coach he was supposed to be All That and a Bag of Chips Too, and by 2008 we had reports of Searels answering questions by saying “don’t worry, Knowshon will handle it.” What changed this time? Was he the best available?

    I’m no expert but I’m inclined to put the offensive woes on the offensive line and dearth of Jimmies and Joes this year. Good but not great running backs and we lose 2 before they take a snap, and almost the same for receivers. Maybe let Bobo hang around one more year? Be happy to take Monken back though. How happy is Joe Brady?

  6. At this point I would take Stetson as OC. He certainly knows the Monken system to a T.

    • All this crap about Bobo this and blame Bobo for that…I officially blame Monken, he brings his bag o tricks to UGA football and all this motion here plus that Unicorn motion there, then he goes all match up vs the opposition weaknesses, he then defies gravity with that friggin wide open slot receivers running past opposition safeties and then, and then he has the edacity to allow UGA football QB1 to change plays at the LOS, Oh, then he posts a couple of titles and trots his ass off to the next level, this kind of crappola cannot be tolerated any more, at any position….I say, enough is enough, bring back Coach Monken to the Classic City, even if it’s against his will (I know a couple a guys)…GO DAWGS!!

      • Make him an offer he can’t refuse he’s the best in all of football pay him so.

    • If we could get Monken back his ass wouldn’t have to recruit. He could sit in his office and I’d bring the damn recruits to him. Bring the film to him, bring his coffee and lunch to him. With what he has done in the past and now his record breaking NFL offense, recruits probably would come to him.
