Ethics, by Professor Urban Meyer

People are still bitching that Kirby should be punished for his accidental run in with Van Buren, who was the first American-born president of the United States and a Jeffersonian Republican. That stuff gets you thrown under the jail, don’t you know. Oh, wait…

Anyway, looks like the moral compass we all asked for and need right now comes from the Chief Handbag himself:

There are a few coeds that would like to have a word, Urban. As would some former players, if they all weren’t riddled with CTE from Urban using them like meat puppets for his personal gain and glory.

This self-righteous ass actually makes me respect Dan Mullen a little bit more…and trust when I say that wasn’t a lot in the first place.

FTMF and the entitlement he rode in on.

  1. This coming from a MF who taught an Ethics class @ O$U, as if he has any. If there’s any topic he should address, the fukn last one should be anything to do with Ethics or punishment of anyone. An old saying rings true here, “The best part of that Sumbitch ran down his Mama’s leg.” FTMF

  2. Breaking news! Bobby Knight suggests that Kirby should enter anger management classes. Says the former Indiana coach, “There’s no place for that kind of behavior on the sidelines.”

    • This is the most overblown bunch of bullshit. Keep it up sports media. Fuel for the fire.

I had to bitch slap this asshat again:

      https://www.al.com/alabamafootball/2024/10/goodman-breaking-bad-kirby-smart-should-be-suspended.html?outputType=amp

      Shot:

““The visor-wearing coach said he didn’t realize he did it until reviewing the film after the game.”

      Followed by:

“Smart’s momentary amnesia shouldn’t matter here. The rules don’t offer any exceptions for failure to not remember.”

The truth is that he was asked about it after the game, clearly was unaware of what had happened with their qb and then called the opposing coach and the player and apologized to both when he found out what had actually happened. If you think his answer at the post-game presser would have been the same had he known what had occurred it wouldn’t surprise me because that would be stupid. He obviously would have apologized then and there and not waited until Monday. None of this found its way into your article somehow, someway…

      Nor did Commissioner Sankey’s statement:

“I am confident the contact was not intentional and the clear expectation is this conduct will not happen again.”

You could have suggested that Sankey was a fool for writing that rather than ignoring the fact the Kirby and Sankey both say the contact was inadvertent, unintentional and as a result he wasn’t aware of it.

Had the MSU coaching staff been aware of an issue there would have been a confrontation at the postgame handshake. If Kirby had been made aware in time he would have apologized at the postgame handshake.

No complaints from the MSU coach, player, President or AD but do you question their judgment. Why not?

Oh actually Jeff Lebby “forgot” it even happened:

@1:05 of the postgame presser for the MSU coach:

      https://youtu.be/C_Cz5wifTaQ

      Sad, huh?

There has been one coach with a winning percentage over 85% since WWI started in major college football: Kirby Smart.

Which is likely your problem. Only one of you is successful at their chosen vocation and the other can’t attain a level of basic, minimal competence in theirs.”

      His defense:

“The only truth is that he hit the kid.

      Joseph Goodman”

      Second shot:

“Yes. He bumped a guy on his sideline who was coming from behind. Of course, it shouldn’t have happened and Kirby should make an effort to be more self aware and of his surroundings. I bet he would agree.

I don’t think he saw him. I don’t think he knew what had happened. I think he remembered pitching a fit as he said at the postgame presser and clarified that he was yelling at his DC not the refs so he remembered the situation but did not know he contacted an opposing play.

You suggested that he faked not remembering and that his only “excuse” was not remembering. And that single excuse lacked credibility. Which any straw man you build just to burn down will suffice if your intent is to make it up as you go.

Kirby’s version as accepted by everyone involved and in charge is: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do it, didn’t know I had. I get that it shouldn’t happen.

You have every right to write a story from those objective facts. Maybe everyone at the sec office and in Starkville and in Athens is too permissive. Write that.

Inventing facts, ignoring the actual facts, and extrapolating inferences from the made up facts is journalistic bullshit. As is your continued obsession with making speed demons into Aaron “double murderer” Hernandez and Chris “its time to die bitch” Rainey among many others during Meyer’s tenure.

Everyone who gets in criminal trouble at or above the rank of a dui gets a suspension. Without exception.

Alabama can’t say that and you don’t care. You have actually written in defense of NOT suspending a player who ran from the cops at 140 mph with drugs and a gun in the car.

If you think you can commit armed robbery of a student and play another down at uga, you’re wrong. Alabama did it. If you think uga is accepting a transfer of a kid with a pending felony assault, you’re wrong. Alabama did it. And Alabama didn’t contact anyone in law enforcement or a coach to do any due diligence. Not one. And he assaulted another female within weeks of his arrival.

Saban’s expressed regret over the affair: a lack of due process for his player.

      No other regret.”

Fuck that guy very, very much.

      • As if to reset honesty and inteeeegrity, corch is gonna corch…GO DAWGS!!

      • Dammmmnnnnn! Preach, brother!!!! Please share any further responses you received, from the author or any other Bama turd.

  3. Oh course I’m a huge homer, but this whole situation is totally nuts – he pushed the guy out of his way. He didn’t do it violently, didn’t push the guy out of bounds, no one has even claimed there was any malice, give me a break! That many people, being in that close and dense contact, **** is bound to happen – it ain’t a ****** tea party over there and the game doesn’t stop cause an opposing player ran into the sidelines…..

  4. I wouldn’t piss in CUM’s mouth if his fillings were on fire.

  5. There are very few people I hate more than Urban Liar. I’d call him a piece of shit but at least shit helps things grow.

  6. I am really trying to maintain a Christian life here, so I will stay brief in order to stay the path.
Taking advice from Urban who sat in the same seat Woody Hayes once held, is not the place to espouse coaching ethics.
    FTMF

I love Jesus, but I cuss a little.

  7. Urban Meyer is in no position to lecture anyone about ethics. Every time he opens his mouth, I am reminded what an arrogant slime ball he is.

  8. Amazing how much has been made of this. You have a >200 lb athlete covered in protective gear that’s been chased all day by 300 lb. guys trying to kill him. That’s what the game is all about. Suddenly you have a slightly porky over 40 guy in street clothes push him like you would someone in your way when you’re trying to get through the airport so you don’t miss your flight and it’s a major event? What am I missing?

    • Only that we are at the peak in the sport and so any little thing anyone can find to tear us down has a magnifying glass held up to it. Which, of course, you knew. Which leaves – nothing to see here.

  9. Under no circumstance should a head coach touch an opposing playing. What Kirby did was flat out wrong and to defend him is a tad nutty. I have coached youth, and varsity level, sports for years now. A head coach should never touch an opposing player, unless it is to separate a fight. There was no malice behind the push, merely a singled minded focus. How can Kirby demand composure when he himself fails to display the very same behavior? There is no question that Kirby should be suspended for at least 1 game.
