Good morning. Well, it’s official, Dell McGee is the new HC at GA State. Dell has been a valuable piece on Kirby Smart’s staff. High-level recruiter, brought in some big names for UGA over the years. Best of luck to him.
So, McGee has to be replaced, BMac to the NFL, Cochran has resigned. Am I missing anyone else? Kirby gonna be busy fielding calls for people that want to be on his staff.
Linebacker Nate “Tifton Termite” Taylor has passed away. A walkon in 1979, he was a vital part of 3 SEC Championships and the 1980 National Championship. Rest in peace to a Damned Good Dawg.

I grew up in Tifton. Dude was Legend. Actually, he’s from Ty Ty and there were crazy stories about him running home 8 or 9 miles after practice down 82 West. I don’t know the facts but I love the story
The Kirby coaching tree expands. What was the stat that pointed out the last coach to beat Smart’s Dawgs not named Saban… or something like that?
I wish Dell success. I know Kirby will make good choices. I think Cochran’s stress coaching is a hard balance for sobriety. I think work/life balance with NIL is too hard.
This was inevitable. It happened to Saban and now Kirby. Schools want coaches with a winning pedigree. At present Athens Georgia is where those with the most impressive pedigree reside. Good look to Dell.
Dell will be sorely missed in Athens but this is part of the winning process as we all know and he won’t be the last great coach we lose. Great knees is it speaks volumes about how successful our program is under Kirby!
I have an odd question for everyone this morning…it is driving my wife and me crazy not knowing the status of Stetson with the Rams. McVay dances around the issue and gives no meaningful insight as to how Stetson is and exactly what is going on.
We can’t assume anything at this point as that would not be fair to Stetson, he has earned more respect than that.
Does anyone have any concrete information as to what is going on exactly?
Was moping around the “Last Word” feeling sorry and found this maybe the mornings just got better.

As stated previously I hope Dell has success at State.
Coley is an underwhelming hire IMO. He was a good not great WRs coach. I have made statements for years that I want a WRs coach that teaches with innovative drills kids to have the reactions to have low drop percentages and make these circus catches. Yes much of that is recruiting natural ability but a few Big12 WRs coaches have shown catch drill can greatly help.
Better hope Kirby doesn’t start promoting from within again!
