Saw this on the Twix yesterday:
Personally, I was thinking about Tyler Simmons, among other things, most specifically that I had never witnessed anything like I had just witnessed in my fifty years on this earth.
How about you?

How else are they gonna fuck us.
I’m thinking 2012 Bama (Aaron Murray hit no call), Bama 2017 (Tyler Simmons, Deandre Swift face mask, Jake Fromm unsportsmanlike etc. The screw job is in action. The rich and entitled get what they want. Is it really true that the head official has a son at Texas College?
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you ain’t seen squat…#HBTFD!!
They lose by two touchdowns as a home favorite with the refs in your back pocket, and this is their moral victory? “UGA fans say it wasn’t close, but UGA fans in the stands aren’t smoking cigars and high-fiving watching their team get extra double-screwed by the SEC.” This pic isn’t the start of the fourth quarter either. At the start of the fourth quarter UGA had first and ten at the Texas 25, and were just a few plays from putting the game away. It was more likely taken just after the Texas touchdown, but still… you lost by two touchdowns as a home favorite with the refs in your back pocket making stuff up as the game goes along, denying the truth of their lying eyes on replays, and giving Texas every possible benefit of the doubt. Maybe you should just lay low and hope Pavia doesn’t figure out how to beat you.
Watching the tape, UGA missed a lot of plays on offense that were there. Dropped passes, bad passes, missed blocks, three INTs. That stuff can be cleaned up and UGA scores another 12-15 points. Texas didn’t miss many opportunities at all. They made the plays UGA allowed, and that was it. The defense had 7 sacks and 10 TFLs. There isn’t a next level that Texas can get to against UGA unless they bring an entirely different gameplan the next go ’round. The game wasn’t as close as the score and the yards suggest. UGA out-coached and out-played Texas. The end.
Watching the replay you can count at least 6 instances that if our D had scooped a fumble or caught an interception we would have scored. Easily could have had 40+ points. I’m thinking we do against the gators.
Lest Texas forget:
1) squib kick recovered at midfield. 55y drive to score
2) questionable call to start drive at the 9y to score
Game total of 29 yards rushing.
This was an ass whipping.
I think one of the most underappreciated moves/calls on the evening was Kirby opting to go for it on 4th and short with time running out in the 4th quarter and the ball on our own 40. To me, it showed me two things: (1) Kirby realized he woke the beast that is Georgia’s defense, and was ready to take it to them, and (2) he saw that we were owning the LOS in the run game and felt it was time to demonstrate as such. Unfortunately, it was a numbers game and Texas called his bluff, maybe all those milking the clock moves we’d been doing all season long was readying for that moment, hoping to catch Texas on their heels thinking it was a fake, but I appreciate the move.
Any expressions of concern in that image are due to worry that the refs will steal the game away from Georgia. Nothing to do with what Texas was able to accomplish on its own.
I was very frustrated that we had been a play away several times from putting them away and the stands emptying out and we couldn’t quite get there.
I hope I’m wrong, but I was actually beginning to think for the first time ever that the refs were actually trying to steer (no pun intended) the game to the other side, not just subconsciously, but for real! After every play, I was waiting for something like a delayed (bullshit) targeting call (which I actually predicted to my wife as soon as I saw the play–then they called a time out to review “potential” targeting).
The whole affair made me instantly a real Texas hater (not that I was a big fan before)!
Texas is orange. They are entitled. They are assholes. Makes hating them instant and easy.
I was thinking that UGA was going to lose as it was obvious that every call would be going Texas’ way. A few of the calls that were suspect: The obvious TD by Etienne on 2nd down that was reviewed for a LONG time and not called a TD. (2) The obvious 1st down run by Etienne that was marked back a yard and reviewed and then not called a 1st down. (3) The PI that was penalized and marked for play and UGA’s ball and then overturned. (4) The targeting calls in the 4th quarter (there are many plays that could be reviewed for “targeting” and never are…either get rid of that rule or stop the stupid ejections of players).
Was I stressed? Yes, but only after they called back the unreviewable PI and gave them the ball on the 9 yard line. Then the 2 targeting calls and the 3 touchdowns we scored on the last scoring drive that were not given to us.
In the end, the game should have been over in the 2nd quarter. We had their DL on skates and would have been nice if we would have run Etienne up their ass until they showed us the could stop him. They made nice halftime adjustments and gained some momentum and in the end, I think the difference is that our players have all been in big games dating back to 2021 and theirs have not. Their program has not been in the conversation in 2 decades.
As for “putting the game away”…did anyone else notice that UGA never took any deep shots in that game? On the 1st interception, I saw a view from behind Carson Beck and it appeared that a WR was streaking down the right sideline all alone and yet he throws to the TE that is covered? Does he not see the open receivers or does he simply “lock in” to 1 WR and throw it regardless of if they are open or not? This is not the 1st time that Beck doesn’t seem to look downfield but instead chooses to throw to the closer target.
Scuttlebutt is that he may be playing hurt. I wonder about a shoulder strain/injury.
I was thinking can we please score and put this game away. I knew it was over if we’re up by 2 TD’s in the fourth.
Dude’s probably thinking “I’d like to have a sip of water, but this Karen Carpenter bitch behind me just threw my water bottle onto the field…”
I was wondering which middle finger I was going to use when I said goodbye to the loser UT fans walking out before the end of the game.
