We had a ST/long snappah a few years back that attended UGA after doing a stint in the military. I’m fairly sure he was 25 or older. Not sure what rules apply to walk-ons.

My understanding of it is his age is not the issue. In SEP Moore sued the NCAA for an extra (6th) year of eligibility claiming JuCo playing time shouldn’t count. He received a Temporary Injunction by the court to allow him to play in 2025-26 while it was being adjudicated. Now that the season is over, he has dropped his suit. Basically he ran out the legal clock until he didn’t need the TI protection.
The NCAA has said “not so fast my friend.” They may win the case, which I assume would have repercussions for the bigger picture going forward.
Part of their remedy could be to have his records wiped as well as the team that he played for. I give the actual chances of that happening the same as Meechigun losing their natty, which is just below zero. So yeah, the headline is 99.9% clickbait.
The NCAA doesn’t have jurisdiction over the CFP, so no one will lose their Natty. That said, the NCAA is a joke at this point.
