Oh, look at all those 0 values where the Mumme is matching the AP poll. Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Harold Miller mentioned in the comments yesterday:

STOP IT, HAROLD! The Mumme Poll is best completed flying by the seat of your pants, completely emotional, and preferably drunk. After all, I’m pretty sure that’s the way the AP voters and the CFP folks do it, so why get thinking and analytics all involved in it? Then again, I’m batting under .500 in the Fabris Pool, so what the hell do I know?
Anyway, here’s the results from our esteemed colleagues:

Falling out of the poll: Oregon (8th), LSU (10th), Pitt (13th), Florida (HA HA!), 17th last week, Duke (20th), Northwestern (23rd), North Dakota State (23rd).
Appearing in the Poll for the First Time: James Madison (man, does Sun Belt Billy suddenly look like he wasn’t the problem)
Also receiving votes: UTSA, Northwestern, Arizona, North Dakota State, UNLV
We are clearly not impressed by the Big XII, are we? BYU seems to be the only program that gets the Refugee’s respect. Everyone else, you’ve got work to do.
What’s borderline hilarious is that, based on our rankings, Texas Tech would be on the outside looking in as James Madison gets the G6 highest ranked bid
Byes:
Georgia (1), Miami (2), Notre Dame (3), Ohio State (4)
First Round Games:
#5 Indiana vs. #12 James Madison (of course, Indiana draws a G6 Team)
#6 Alabama versus #11 UCLA
#7 Missouri vs #10 Ole Miss
#8 BYU vs #9 Texas
That gives you one Big XII team, one Independent, one G6, one ACC, three B1G, and five SEC teams. What would be hilarious is to see Texas Tech pop in at 8 or 9 and play Texas in the first round of the playoffs, especially after all the off-season trash talking about Tech playing nobody that came from Snarkisian.
I think the SEC gets as many as five in, but one of the teams above won’t be it, and I’m thinking it’s most likely Texas or Missouri, just because of their schedules. Plus, if Kirk and Chris have anything to say about it, Georgia will be left out completely since, you know, cheating.
As for the bonus questions, 82% of you believe we haven’t seen the last of Alabama, with most saying it’ll happen in the SECCG.

And for broadcasters, I think many of you would’ve liked to have seen Todd Blackledge listed, but wasn’t an option, so the slightly most popular choice was the mute button, or Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy, if there has to be someone to listen to.

For context, this weekend we’re getting Dusty Dvoracek, Dave Pasch, and Taylor McGregor, who came in 7th out of 25 teams in the 2024 Awful Announcing top broadcast teams. For what it’s worth, they ranked Herbie and Fowler number one, so take that with a grain of salt.
Dave, Dusty and Taylor are better than last week. Hell, I’d take Beth Mowins over last week.
Taylor McGregor can do any UGA game, anytime, anywhere.
Yall need to start showing The Roadrunners some respect —- they salty! Best head coach not named Kirby Smart in the land!!!
I live this poll. “The Mumme Poll is best completed flying by the seat of your pants”. This is exactly how I vote, doing the Lords work.
Kirby’s gonna throw the Missouri game to grab his team’s attention, get rid of any rat poison and avoid the week off due to a bye in the playoffs.
In my defense, now that we are entering week 7, I felt that certain one loss teams were worthy of a vote. It depending on the loss. That required me to pause of a few moments.
Depended on the loss. Sorry.
Just pulling your chain, sir. No offense intended your way!
