The Fabris Pool goes to Overtime

Natch.

(Please note: instructions for our tiebreak contestants are below in the post.)

Like the 2024 “Do or Die Dawgs”, our fun little pool can’t get it done in regulation at the end of the season. Which is fine, it makes for better ratings.

Not since the ’78 Wonderdawgs has the Georgia gridiron produced so much heartburn due to the grit and resilience of our never-give-up Dawgs. Like Kirby said, now we get to rest:

“It means rest for our Fabris Pool that Commissioner Dawglicious and his staff gave us tough games to pick every week. We need to take a break and get ready for the bowl pickems. Our pool needs some rest, mentally.”

(However, in contrast to Greg Sankey last night, your humble commish looked very pleased, indeed.)

First, hats off to our final weekly winner:

wstanford with a perfect 9-0 record for Championship Week, vaulting into a tie….

…Now for the season scoreboard at the end of full time:

Knoxdawg1 and Forest_Dawg won’t have to kiss their sister, will they? Let’s find out!

Since there’s no pot to chop, and you can’t cut pride in half to share, let’s move on to what we hope will be the final determinant of our 2024 Fabris Pool season winner.

“Please rise, kindly remove your caps, as we pay honor to America, with our Fabris Pool Tiebreaker Game:

Army-Navy.”

Forest_Dawg and Knoxdawg1 will face off next Saturday via the Army-Navy game.

**FOREST AND KNOX. PLEASE EMAIL YOUR PICKS TO dawglicious22@g mail dot com**

I’ll post

Order of tiebreak will be as follows:

Pick winner vs the spread (Army minus 4.5)

Combined total points for game (closest without going over)

Winning team total points (without going over)

Losing team total points (ditto)

Hopefully, that’ll do it.

Your humble, sadistic commish,

Dawglicious

  1. I finally had an undefeated week while the dawgs won another trophy. It was a good day…….

  2. Holy Smokes — I need a mulligan last weekend. Worst of the year 🙁

That’s what talking big will do for ya!

  3. It is no fair. I too should be in the tiebreaker, just because I missed qualifying by one game. Do you not respect my strength of record/ strength of schedule??

  4. I am just going to adjust my out of conference schedule, or create my own playoff.

    • The FSU route is available: Lay an egg in the Fabris Bowl Pickem, go 2-170 in next year’s Fabris Pool, and sue the Fabris Pool
