With NIL, portal movements, and the early transfer windows, it could be that the early signing period will mark the close of the traditional recruiting season until changes are made.
Wednesday came and went without a murmur about Georgia’s recruiting class, chiefly because it was already locked in. And while other programs are focusing efforts more on securing mercenaries talent through NIL and the portal, Kirby still has an eye on development and culture.
And he’s still doing well:

Even with Terry opting for Texas, Georgia still secured the top DL signee in the class (more on that in another post). Oh, and some folks in state also had some success this year in recruiting…and I’m definitely not happy to see them progressing.

So much for the rivalry being meaningless, Tech’s making some strides.
Hell of a class. Now let’s get some OTs.
Fuck Tech.
Yep, miss the days of going to BM to watch the LOI’s come in and then have the coach come out and address the fans.
The smell of chili was in the air
That front 7 is going to be Hell.
I honestly forgot it was signing day. When are they going to get rid of it? Make an offer to the kid? They can sign right then.
At least go back to 1 signing day for football. The February one, while making more sense in it’s timing (after the season) than the early one (during the bowl & playoff season), is useless now.
If the players are basically paid employees now, just make offers and sign them on the spot!
Some of that old guard money is still alive?
Apparently some of that old money is still alive.
