I see a good bit going back and forth during the offseason about “best uniforms” or “worst stadiums” and so forth, which is good for off-season banter and keeping people from going crazy while we wait for kickoff of the most glorious sport in the world. Wedged in between all those posts I’ve been seeing news about both the pros and CFB moving to Guardian Caps during the regular season:

I certainly understand player safety, and anything that can be done to prevent CTE is fine by me. I just wonder if these really would protect a player from injury on a play like this:
