I keed, I keed…seriously, though, I would like to argue that one of these is not like the others.

I’ll let y’all argue about it in the comments. Who doesn’t belong…and who is missing?
Before arguing, let’s take a peek at the criteria:
The award is given to the coach who embodies the award’s three pillars: scholarship, leadership, and integrity, according to the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation.
Define “scholarship”. Have at it, scamps.
Couple of these finalist might take a hit, should they have to participate vs UGA football prior to the award ceremony….GO DAWGS!!
Monken lost to Navy. Marcus Freeman lost to NIU. Oregon is what we thought they were, which is a testament to Lanning’s program, but also to a mediocre Big Ten.
Kenny Dillingham is the right answer. They were picked to finish last in that conference, and they won it. Shane Beamer would be second. He was on the hot seat coming into the season, but South Carolina was a playoff caliber team.
Honorable mention to Kirby. I still can’t believe they won 10 games, are SEC champs, and the #2 seed in the playoff. All with the hardest schedule in America, no WRs with hands, and injuries all over the place.
I’d pick Dillingham first, followed by Monken, though I could see Beamer as well.
Kirby will never get it because “talent” but I do think this has been one of his best coaching jobs this season.
what no Lincoln Riley love…i thought he was a genius
Shouldn’t clark lea get a sniff, they beat the bammers
Reading the criteria, how is that even named got Booby Dud and not for Mark Richt? Guess CMR lost control of the awards too. Close call between Dillingham and Beamer. The latter won’t get it, but as Kirby keeps telling the world, they (the voters) don’t understand what it’s like to play in the SEC.
Hey mods! Comments are closed on the post about us picking up the Kentucky receiver.
I had to take it down…unfortunately it was a facsimile account so the kid from Kentucky didn’t actually commit. I took the bait and someone else on Twix posted the fraud this morning. Apologies for the confusion.
I’m surprised that Beamer is on the list since the SEC “only” plays 8 conference games!
Some of these awards are like the Oscars. Promotions and politics.
